http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/tabletpc/evaluation/features.mspx so is it possible to run it on any pc (laptop) ? and is it a faster version of xp ?

dunno if it runs on any pc or laptop, but even if it does, you can't use most of it's special features, unless you have a touchscreen with a pen. We have tablet PCs at work, and the difference to xp pro is the use of a pen as an input device. I haven't experienced that it works faster than xp pro, but i will try this new tablet pc edition on a tablet pc at work next week and check it out.

IT should run on both desktop and laptop. The thing is that it's pretty useless if you don't have a Tablet pc computer or an external pen with tablet. I don't think it would be faster, rather slower because of all the extra typing features.

Try a linux distro instead. Do you have a tablet or a external tablet with pen at school. If not It's really unneeded. It would be like a normal xp pro os.

It is a Win xp pro with tablet pc functions that wont be there if you dont have a tablet pc. Its like testing win xp pro and installing the pen drives..... mabey will see, it is a 2 disc edition so its 2x bigger the your ordinary xp cd, just testing it for fun and making my own opinion about it ...

yea, it has some usefull tools, but you can only use them with a pen, and it's more then just xp pro, it's more like a big pda
