wierd and also gay. Doesnt matter to me tho, every time I see the controller for that system it hurts me physically. They should have just made the controller a dildo. Then I might buy it...not really tho.

everywhere i've been people are taking the wee wee out of the new name, and i don't blame them. I mean who the hell is gonna go into a shop and ask if they can have a wee ffs, lmao
Don't they have people who check what the meanings mean in other countries or are they just taking the wee out of us who ain't japanese.
Worst name in console history - although as pointed out as a logo looks fine

Well there are docking controller cases so no doubt this will be mass produced and mass bought within a year. Complete with a homebrew wanking game.
Revoultion was a much much better name though. Why have a code name since that name reveals fuck all really. Revoulution was slick and appropriate. Wii sounds like a huge step back.

Jeez, wtf is up with Nintendo.... surely somewhere along the line when somebody suggested that the, "New Nintendo" is going to be called, "Wii" somebody must have said, "are you taking the piss ?"
I can see it now a new portable version in the works, so we can all play with our wii wii
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

What other names you got there? Xbox 360? A busy fucking title of a shit console that can't even do a complete 360. So? Wtf.
Then you got play station 3 or ps3. It's not even remotley original. It's next in the series. It's a shit title. None of you are arguing that.

Wii is a brilliant name. It's well explained why, but think about it, just like xbox 360 and playstation it's merely a box name. You go into the store and you're gonna buy Nintendo revolution, not Wii. The box will say Wii. The boot screen will say Wii. The controller main button will say Wii. But does it really matter? You are getting nintendo revolution.

Apparently the enunciation of 'Wii' doesn't exist in the japanese language, so they'll find it difficult to pronnounce. II does though, and it means 'good'.
Stupid move in my opinion, they've waited too long and the name 'revolution' has become too ingrained in the public conciousness.

The playstation is actually a good name. What's wrong with following on the brand by listing it after the next numerical value?
You don't complain when you see things like final fantasy 1 2 3 etc or Resident evil 12 3 4 (admittedly there are other games too) but still you get the gist.
The X-box 360 isn't a good name and never was really. But It sounds better than 'x-box 2' simply because 360 can be linked to more things. |

Yes, Nintendo might as well call it quits because their new console's name is similar to a Limey slang word.
Would've been a lot more original and eye-catching if they followed Sony's creative genius and called it the Nes5.
