|
 |
When I go to the Options menu-->Sound and I change the volume from 1 to 100 (for effects and for music) and I click 'Save Settings' it doesn't save them, because when I click on 'Sound Settings' again, the soundlevels are set back to 1.
When I take a look in the folder 'Sound' of the game, I can see about 600Mb of soundfiles, so I know those are not ripped from the game.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
I've installed it on two computers. ( both dual-core, one of them intel, the other amd)
Both have the same problem.

The files you say are the sound files may not actually be real files at all, they may be dummy files.

There are some ogg-files that play just fine when I open them with WinAmp.
Also, the intro movie-addon that I downloaded later on plays well when I play it with a bik-movie player, but when I start up the game it plays the movie just as it did in my bik-player, but again without sound.
I opened 'default.ini'-files and other similar files and came across 'music volume=1.0'. I changed those values into all kinds of values, 0.5, 100.0 etc., all without any effect on the volume.
A real pity, cause the game looks great.
