Just got this Logitech G5 Mouse for work , well that was the plan as my mouse at work was fuked. I thought "why not try this at home, just to see if its any good, etc etc" well its just brilliant and I can only recomend it for gaming. It has a realy realy good grip as the surface your thumb and small finger is tuching is coated with a very fine sorta coarse surface, perfect grip.
."with the G5 Laser Optical Mouse, Logitech certainly gets it right. The sensor is amazingly accurate and sensitive, the shape and rubberized grip are comfortable, the large glide pads and adjustable weight make it slide across your mousing surface just how you'd like. Even the clicky feel of the scroll wheel and the single thumb button are good design decisions—evidence that more isn't always better, and reliable operation trumps feature creep every time. "
"Especially worthy of mention is the weight cartridge. Pressing the eject button will pop out a little plastic square with eight round holes cut out of it. The G5 comes with a small box of 16 weights—8 weighing 1.7 grams and 8 weighing 4.5 grams—which allows gamers to customize the heft of the mouse to fit their style. This is similar to the customizable weight system we saw in the Raptor-Gaming M2 mouse, but Logitech's implementation is far superior."
"Asking $70 for a mouse that isn't even cordless is a lot to swallow, and because of that we can't honestly recommend it for everyone. If your idea of playing games on the PC is a rousing game of FreeCell, this is just going to be a waste of money. On the other hand, if you're trying to out-frag the rest of the Internet in the latest fast-paced shooter or real-time strategy game, you can consider this a valuable long-term investment in your gaming prowess. "
Sory just some review I found online but I fully agree, and its less for me to wite .
But this is a realy realy good and professional gaming mouse thats all.

ahh yes was in a dilemma a few months a go on buying a G5 or the Razer Copperhead and I choosed the copperhead. Both mouse utilize the laser technology with 2000 dpi on both, same adjust on the dpi and weight regulators (which is getting added later on the razer). Though the razer has onboard memory and looks hella cool with the glowing light on the side.

Hmm, I also had a MX1000, but the left muse button freaked out after some time, I use the left for walkin in FPS, I know, might sound wierd for alot of peeps but I am used to it. Anyway, the left MB sorta became glitchy after just a month or so. Had the MX1000 at work as well (not playing games, belive me) same thing happend, glitchy left mouse button. I realy hope the G5 will last, as it feels realy good.
