... that will run on my friend's laptop, that has a c2d, vista and GMA950.

He prefers real time strategies.

tho this system is pretty much more than these game require, but still..

commandos series (except 3 and that shitty fps crap)
sudden strike 1-2 (except blitzkrieg craps)

would Warcraft III incl. Frozen Throne run on a GMA950? If yes then that's a good choice too. Or get the Command & Conquer - The first Decade pack and try if Redalert II works on vista, that's always entertaining Smile

gma950 is a dx9 (supports ps2) gpu. i even have played stalker on it with a huge lag Razz

Yup I set it up on it. You have to lower everything all the way, but a friend of mine played it through on a GMA950 (under XP)

Yeah, my friend has this old laptop, he couldn't play DoW because he didn't have enough RAM, and even though his videocard was onboard (using shared memory), he passed the test after adding more RAM.

Not sure if Warhammer Mark of Chaos would work. The UFO Games, Xcom's, Age of Empires series <3 , Jagged Alliance, Total War, Dragonshard might work..and was a fucking sweet game till atari abandoned it, oooo and OOOOO GET EVIL GENIUS!!! Was a brilliant game, The old gangster1 and 2 games

Well, I try to play my games on the laptop at the native res., 1280x800, which is a bit high for the x1400.

Been looking at Close Combat... Seeing as it's RTT and my friend's an impatient man, he probably won't find appealing. Me however, from what I've read, will get the games to try them. So thanks!
