|
 |
Just wondering if anyone knew of a REALLY good download manager program.
Just had a 1.31 GB file going for like 8 hours at 40k/sec die on me in the last 20 minutes, lost the whole thing, that's the last straw.
The only ones I know of are getRight and Flashget, and I don't even know if those are any good?
Someone point a brotha' in the right direction?
Thanks.

FlashGet is one of the best. I'm using it and never had any problems with it. It has some very nice features too (including the Mirror search, Customization and you can easily monitor the entire progress).

You don't need a download manager. Just get another browser like Mozilla or Opera. They have it built in.

I use Flashget, I love the thing, its fast and it even has an easy to use entire webpage leech function. I tried the others, Grabit and Gozilla and it seems the best.

Yes but dl managers let you batch download and have more than 1 connection.
Net Transport is a FlashGet clone that can download more than the usual type of file. http://www.xi-soft.com/default.htm
