i saved some cash and now iam buying new PC for gaming is it good?

Pentium D 2.6 GHz #805
Asus P5SD2-X
Western Digital 80 GB WD800JB
Corsair Value Select DDR2 1024 MB 533 MHz
NEC ND3550
Gigabyte Radeon X1600Pro 256 MB
Compucase 6A19B-400

for around 790$

IMO I think you should go with athlon though you obviously want the DDR2 ram. Though I think it will be better if you wait a month for the new AMD socket motherboard hit the streets and buy a much better CPU then the one you suggested.

Yea, they're alright but imo the pentium M's are still the best value for money pentiums.

Pentium M's also pwn most CPU's in the greater scheme of things. I would suggest waitting a few months (if you can) as both companies will be bringing new tech to the table, prices will drop but more to the point the newer tech will KILL everything else out right now..

no problem i will wait couple months for the cpu

and i wanted the pantium because its much cheper then the lowest dual core from AMD

I would wait for the Conroe, it will be out very soon (some people in japan has gotten their hands on a few and it REALLY performs great!).

Guess I'll need to upgrade soon then... Sad
