Just a few minutes i found that there is a patch at 3dgamers.com

But looking at the name of it i wonder...will we be able to play the game, or in this patch, they also corrected the protection "problem" ( Smile ) with the iso check Confused
So if any one has already tested it... Rolling Eyes

here are the official changes:

- Rebalancing of the difficulty level for some Free Game Maps.
- Problems with auto detection of some NVidia FX graphic cards resolved.
- Occasional Desync. problems in multiplayer have been resolved.
- After finishing the campaign the player can now continue to play and journey stones are active again.
- AI improvements for skirmish and free game mode.
- Lip sync problems fixed (sentences will not be cut off).
- Animation glitches in multi player resolved.
- Errors in Morca Dialogue resolved.
- Chat messages are now colour coded by team colour.
- In the free game start screen only the maps appropriate for the avatar level are highlighted. You can still choose the greyed out maps if you want more or less of a challenge.
- Several localization bugs fixed.
- After loading a save game buildings are now sinking into the ground again slowly and not just vanishing.
- Sometimes spell effects would be displayed on a unit beyond the duration. This has been corrected.
- Overly long avatar names could cause crashes in free game and multiplayer. Avatar names are now limited.
- Random Access Violation Errors appearing have now been fixed.
- When changing to the main menu or changing a map game would crash in rare cases. This has been fixed.
- An Access Violation could appear when two characters where casting "Riposte" and met in melee. This has been fixed.
- After winning an internet game an Access Violation Error sometimes appeared. This has been resolved.
- Unhandled Exception Errors could appear when special combinations of defensive and offensive spells on several units interacted and the unit died during that time. This has been resolved.
- The boss enemy will now no longer appear when saving and loading after the final Cutscene.
- The Moon now has proper reflections on the water.

installed the patch and found out that now you need to activate the game.
Without the patch I managed to get the game working using daemon tools 4.0v and just mounting the mini image. But now it asks to activate the game.

Dint like that game that much so I dint pother to look if there are any cracks or ways to get this thing activated or working. If any one has any luck just tell me if its possible (im NOT asking any key , or cracks etc shit)

when you read the things that they have changed and if you read IT good you can assume they are imaginary bugs to only black list some back up serials Rolling Eyes

yeah... spellforce developers are very well known for their aggresive approach to copy protection... they used some exotic and hard to bypass protections on previous game (and its expansions). Who cares? No one is playing this game anyway, I presume. At least I am not goint to.

I guess previous Spellforce was also playable only after half a year or so of patching.

depens on the patch u installed there are 3 different available (1 for DVD with SF prot, 1 for tages and 1 for SF without DVD)

if you install the normal one for DVD with SF you do not have to activate the game...

From all the informations i've read, my guess is that u've installed the patch SF-Pro-active (which is for the downloadable game like direct2drive service) and not the starforce-DVD one.
The first patch will effectively ask an activation where the second one shouldn't (at least i hope Wink )

Can u try and keep us informed ?

btw I think the update also installs a small SF update cause it extracted a new protect.exe and I had to reboot cause of the starforce driver after patching

I tried all the patches and dint manage to get this game to work. The tages patch just gave me error: please insert cd/dvd (had the mini image mounted with daemon tools 4.0v) And the other patch just updated the starforce and after that i failed the dvd check. Even when i unplugged the cables from my dvd writer.

like i said before the patch is bogus they only fixed the hole with the mini image and added some black listing on the serial , you can run this game with the un-pluged drive but it asks for a new serial Rolling Eyes so you need a good keygen or crack with serial fix , but with out this patch you can finish this game no bugs found and it runned flawless
