I dont like WE either, its too cartoonish, and stupid looking, Fifa looks nice looking but the gameplay sucks and its the same shit every year, with no or minimal improvements.
In 2005 the improvements are "new stadiums" and "new chants" .. WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT THAT ?? I want to see realistic gameplay, shitty EA.

mmm I never liked Fifa since 2000, it's always the same, it boring after so much time the game didn't really change. The only good one was Mondial, I really enjoyed that one.

i LOVE fifa but like you people said its gets boring fast unless u play someone online.. EA better change thier engine or something and work more on fifa instead of other sport games which no one plays.. thing is EA are .us so they work more on the baseball, hockey sorta games.

Even their Hockey game sucks now, I just wish ESPN would bring out their Hockey game for PC not just Xbox.

EA's NHL series doesnt suck, I mean yes it had it's set of bugs and flaws like any other game would have, but that's bound to happen. NHL 2005's features look great..
# Open Ice Control — Seamlessly switch between players to call for passes, set up a vicious one-timer, drive the net for a deflection, or call for a defensive double team with the push of a button.
# Total Player Awareness — Make saucer passes just before the blueline, call in a second defender to break up a 2-on-1, or fire off wrist shots at the perfect angle on net.
# The World Cup of Hockey — NHL® 2005 features all the teams, all the venues and all the action of this year’s global tournament, featuring the top eight hockey nations in the world.
# All-New Skating Engine — A refined skating system captures both the explosive speed of offensive skating and the surgical precision of backwards defensive movement.
and Fifa..
# First Touch Gameplay: All-new fluid player kinetic system that recognizes and then directly translates the speed, vision and awareness of the world’s greatest players to button presses on your controller.
# The Absolute Broadcast: With new in-game camera angles, smooth and continuous cut sequences for replays, and improved contrast and lighting for players and stadiums.
# The World’s Ultimate Roster: More than 350 official licenses, including 20 leagues, 40 national teams, and 12,000 players are available.

Both Fifa and WE/PES are crap, I really hope some new company will come out of the closet and release a decent Soccer/Football game that real fans can enjoy.

EURO 2004 gameplay has been altered 100% , now you see missed chances , you have odds to score even unmarked from outside the area as much as in real life and screens , passing and marking is better then ever. details are same or even worse then other releases but in the level EA's releases are i don't expect much improvement. overall 92% . Best FIFA imho was '99 witha 94% overal;l rating by me.

PES is as close to a "decent Football game" as you'll get. However, I won't take your comment too seriously since the word "crap" seems to feature a lot in your opinions about games.
Regarding FIFA, they need to stop focusing on gimmicky features such as:
- First Touch Gameplay: All-new fluid player kinetic system that recognizes and then directly translates the speed, vision and awareness of the world’s greatest players to button presses on your controller.
and concentrate on developing a simple, quality base for a football game with decent passing, movement , crossing etc.
Im a cockfag

I just hope EA gets the controls fixed. Since 2003 the FIFA series is hardly playable in my eyes because of the really flawed control system which is much too imprecise compared to older FIFAs. They should be going back to the time when there were buttons for shoot, pass, lob and trick instead of mapping a button for each useless, boring and never used feature.
And the new engine better runs flawless without doing dozens of tweaks to ini files...

PES/WE is the best football game/sim bar none... yes it has it's faults, bugs and shortcomings but when you weight it all up the opposition stands no chance.
As for UEFA 2004 being tweaked 100%, I suggest you go back and play it some more - it's exactly like the rest, and just as bad. I actually got it in order to pump myself up for the real tournament and was a little annoyed at how lacking in real atmosphere it turned out to be.
...so to see that the gameplay was as bad as ever, and the lack of ability to even hold onto the ball, let alone dribble still very evident I wasn't exactly impressed (we'll ignore it's thousands upon thousands of other problems)
And no I won't be falling for the same old press blurb that they spout each year, and you'd do well to ignore it too!
