Whenever I load a level, while it's loading I'll hear a loud sound (almost like a beep but not quite) come from the speakers for a split second then stop, then it'll happen maybe two more times before it will load, then when I start playing sound will only come out of the right speaker. It doesn't matter if I put headphones on either. Also, when I exit to Windows sound still only comes out of the left speaker. I have to reboot to fix it. When I first started playing yesterday I heard the sound while loading, but it didn't cause a loss of sound in my left speaker. Any suggestions?

I don't know what the problem may be, but i had the same problem with HL2 some weeks ago :S

Whitch sound card do you have? Have you updated your drivers ?
Actualy whats your spec?
Just had a quick look in the "Read Me" and it states
"If you are experiencing video or sound problems and have ACE Mega CoDecS Pack
or similar codec packs installed on your computer, you will need to disable
installed codecs from the CoDecS Dashboard settings screen before running
the game. Please note which Codecs are being disabled so those Codecs
can be enabled at a later time."
Dont know if that aplies to you but?

I have an integrated sound card in my DFI NF4 Infinity motherboard. All my other hardware specs are more than adequate. I don't have any ACE mega codecs pack installed, but I do have Klite Mega codec pack installed.
