PostPosted: Thu, 13th Apr 2006 19:01    Post subject: The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion RELOADED

After the mysterious and untimely death of the Emperor, desperate factions
vie for control of Tamriel's throne. With the empire ready to crumble, the
gates of Oblivion open and demons march upon the land, laying waste to
everything in their path. To turn the tide of darkness the player must find
the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to
destroy all of Tamriel.

Features:
* Return of the Elder Scrolls. The sequel to the best-selling,
role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
* Live Another Life in Another World Gamers can create and play any
character they can imagine, from the noble warrior to the sinister
assassin to the wizened sorcerer.
* Next Generation Graphics Pixel-shader effects and high definition
televisions are fully supported to create unprecedented visuals,
including lifelike towns, dungeons and the most realistic forests ever
created in a game.
* First Person Melee and Magic An all-new combat and magic system brings
first person role-playing to a new level of intensity where you feel
every blow.
* Radiant A Groundbreaking AI system gives Oblivion's characters full 24/7
schedules and the ability to make their own choices based on the world
around them. Non-player characters eat, sleep and complete goals all on
their own.
* Realistic Characters Features over 1,000 non-player characters who come
to life like never before with facial animations, lip-synching and full
speech. They even engage in unscripted conversations with each other.
* Open-Ended Game Play; Short Challenges The enormous world of Oblivion is
open, allowing players to explore at their own pace. Players will
encounter shorter challenges such as fighting bandits, mixing potions,
and creating magic along the way to unraveling the main quest.

1. Unrar.
2. Burn or mount with Daemon Tools.
3. Install the game.
4. Play the game.

As it was lost...in the VOID! and simply is the best game...maybe ever! this thread deserves a new life.

If this considerd a cheat or not...well you decide
"Arena Loot" enables you to loot fallen enemies in the arena. Both corpse-loot and separate weapon/armor loot.

Another could be a "Cheat"
Increased Bow Damage "I wanted to play a character that used a bow only but I ran into a problem. The Bows were to weak to really be used as a main weapon. At times it would take me 15+ arrows to kill something.
So I tweaked the bow and arrow damage a bit. It isnt overpowering at all. Sneak attacks sometimes kill things but mostly they dont. I think its about right in terms of how many shots it takes to kill. It seems to be around 3 - 10 depending if I land a sneak attack or not.
If you are trying to play an Archer type character than I would suggest you try this. "

Faster Turning Horses "This tiny MOD addresses the horse turn-rate issue."

OSCUROS OBLIVION OVERHAUL
http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=348431

TF_timemod
What this does is plain simple. It changes the timescale from 30 to 10 so that the days should last quite a bit longer. So now one actual minute equals 10 ingame day minutes.

Landscape LOD replacement textures for Oblivion
Version 1.0
Replaces the original 1024x1024 landscape LOD textures with improved 2048x2048 textures.
Makes the far-off terrain look much less blurry.

BLUE LAGOON WATER
Tired of swimming in what looks like the Thames on a hot summer day? Would you prefer to swim in a soft blue hue?
Now you can with my Blue Lagoon Water MOD. Plop this baby in and you can forget the chlorine forever!

Well the list can be made longer. Check it out on http://www.tessource.net/files/
and try some out simply Wink

Made this little movie and thought it was pretty funny, trying to kill Hundolin with Touch of Rage finishing with bow shot to head (with nice neck snap effect).

Yes I agree it's ultimately a let down - Gothic 3 still has by far the best looking/realistic landscapes. The fact you have few hotkeys for most actions means constant clicking which sucks. Graphics with HDR are nice but nothing special. Like the rest of the series, M IV feels fake & boring. Not buying into the hype Smile

There is a much better water mod-

Advanced Water

Here are essential mods that evey PC user must have:

BTmod - removes the console preschool slime from Oblivion's interface

Natural Environments - use the weather ESP and Advanced Water mod for the water

LOD landscape - several of these add detail to the distant terrain textures

DEJ Harvest - removes 3d flora when you harvest them from the game world

HTS - Hunger, Thirst, Sleep - requires character to fullfill basic needs

Natural Faces - improves face textures

No Psychic Guards - eliminates crap guards popping up when crime is committed - must be in earshot

Natural Wildlife - animals behave more realistically, attack when provoked but don't always make a beeline to the player

Attack and Hide - allows player to run or sneak away and escape pursuing monsters/NPCs

Improved Barter Gold - merchants gold based on your mercantile skill

Marker Explore - removes all markers until you discover them

NoMoreAnnoyingMessages - eliminates all annoying text while keeping important info - no more loading area crap and other such nonsense

+

Leveling mod - I haven't used any yet until they get sorted out. But this will be a huge improvement to Oblivion.

My friend had the weirdest bug yesterday.

He found an arming bow(name?) with 18 attack and when he tried to arm it the whole game crashed and xp restarted. He asked in 2-3 places for a way to fix it and some guy told him that he should change the audio settings from 2 speakers to 5.1 or 4!!!! Funny, but it worked!

Who is following the mage path? I'm having a hard time on what to decide to do with the spells I can create. My flare attack is still moderate but it consumes a lot magicka.
What do you do with the oblivion gates stones, do you attach them to weapons/armor? I still haven't used any yet because I'm thinking of getting a better gun first but the way I see it there will always be better guns and more stones Rolling Eyes

Just in case someone doesn't know about these little 'tweak guides' here's a couple links:

http://www.tweakguides.com/Oblivion_8.html
http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/article.asp?SCID=27&CIID=36546&p=2

I can't even get over calling them tweak guides because they increase performance so much it plays like a whole new game. Guess Bethsoft was so busy tweaking the x360 ver and making ripoff mods they forgot to tweak the pc version's files at all. Anyways with settings customized for my puter(a64 3000+@2.4 6600gt OC'd) I get a sold 25-30 fps outside with view distance maxed and shadows maxed, hdr on and 12x10 res. Before was about 5-10 on same in-game settings.

Oh and nvidia just released a Beta driver optimized for oblivion. Haven't tried it yet. Link:

It's weird, cuz i saw a video of someone getting up on that tower.
He teleported through that things that also exist in the arcane universirty - that teleporter that connects with the arch-mage quarters to the university.
He went there with that fan from the arena and pushed him off the tower.
