Lots of SP2 fakes floating around, if in doubt check the MD5 hash for the .exe, it should be : 59a98f181fe383907e520a391d75b5a7

i ain't touching SP2 until it's officially downloadable from Microsofts website,
AND until i'm 10.000% sure it's not gonna shutdown a warezed copy of XP after x days ...

Hi All Im new here and I had no problems using the WinXPSP2 Intergrated cd burt from an Bin/cue file I just downloaded the other day at supernova
The above is the rtm number can any one tell me if this is the latest?
PS: I will wait the 5 days out on the account its on another computer I have so this is realy no big deal to me but we shall see After all It loaded just fine with out a hitch at all

it is on m$ site for some time already... going to install it to see what happens. If you don't read any further notifications from me, then everything is ok and peechy. (got some warez copy, don't even know which one).

I installed sp2 from MS's site and its the exact same one that WinBeta released. And yes, the RTM tag is still in winver.

How the fuck do you get rid of the security center icon in the systray?!
Why must they make simple shit like this so perplexingly difficult to find!?

Open the security center and on the left you can turn the security alarm/messages on/off, if you turn them all of, the icon disappears from the systray.

I turned off security center by going to "services.msc" under the run command. Then look for "Security Center" and set it to "Manual"
