Please read this before replying. Its NOT about game sequels!!! Please read the smaller white text below. If youre still not sure please read some other thread! Jesus!!

Lets say you could have a game with everything you ever wanted. Tell us about it. Ill start. I like to have a really dynamic RPG action adventure. An open world, dynamical created by me. My char is unique and i can alter the landscape. Other people can explore my stuff and do business. Simply said, i like to have the feeling that things ive created are unique.

What would you like to see in the future?
Whats possible or not is not the question!

I'd like to have a dating sim that would emulate real life.

As in marrying a religious conservative chick just go get sex only to find out she's a transvestite.

A tactical FPS that is as realistic as possible and also multiplayer. The amount of players playing dictates which sized map will be played such as a bank robbery for a small amount or a large scale terrorist attack for more players. Players can choose to be SWAT or terrorist. The game won't simply judge on who wins simply by who slaughtered the other team but rather completing the objectives. Such as if the terrorist need to kidnap a scientist who knows allot about bio weapons if at any course of time the scientist dies it simply doesn't matter if the SWAT get slaughtered after and both teams lose. At the same time SWAT has to not only prevent the kidnap and escape but also has to make sure this hostage does not die as well.

The game would also offer classes with different types of customizable equipment and skills. Such as one terrorist class would be good at setting booby traps. while a certain SWAT member is skilled at disarming them. This would force players to choose the classes wisely as they will have to be able to counter the other team and would force group actions and teamwork unlike most games where a good player can just go rouge and go on a rampage.

At the end of the round a scoreboard will appear and analyze how each side did. Even if a team lost they will still gain or lose points base on their actions. For example a terrorist who successfully escapes the map after the mission has failed will gain a small amount of points which will help cover the failures. While lets say if a SWAT member accidentally guns down a hostage or a fellow SWAT member then this will of course penalize the the team. The team who reaches X amount of points will be declared the winners in the end and the map will change.

The game will also be set up to stop assholes completely. Every game will be ranked and entered into the ranking system. There won't be any traditional servers rather players can simply open a game much like Windows LIVE. This way if someone is blatantly killing the VIP on purpose they will not only be kicked from the game but also receive a temp ban. The temp bans will repeat several times before a permanent one.

The ultimate space trading and combat sim - realistically modeled physics, near-limitless amount of galaxies, planets you could land on, etc. etc. (and well-done voice acting, for once). The works.

Western RPG - Basically like Fallout 1 & 2, except with modernized gameplay (not console rpg or crap like Oblivion, but little things that in FO were flawed, like inventory system. TB combat could be quicker as well).

Love child of Splinter Cell and Thief - Modern stealth/stealing game with all types of nifty gadgets and targets like an art museum, banks etc. Emphasis on stealth gameplay, combat would be a secondary element.

Superhero game with a BIG, realistically modeled city. You'll fight the usual criminals and super villains, but since the city would be fully destructible and the citizens could die, there'd be a completely different side to the game where you'd have to deal with f. ex. some collateral damage your actions have caused.
And since it would be a branching experience depending on your choices, you could always say fuck it and become a villain yourself. Very Happy

As in the one that was originally planned or just a whole new one? I have to admit I had mixed feelings of it not going to be in dungeons anymore.

That would be great its a shame developers don't seem to agree however.
Sad

As for Fallout's flaws I completely agree but there is a scrolling mod now and as for the turn based combat use cheat engine and then speed up the game. I play it at 15.0 it works beautiful.

I really tried to like stalker but i always had the feeling "dev vs player". It was too hard and unfair even in easy mode. Getting dropped into a bunch of enemies after loading a new zone made me stop playing.

a heist simulator
simulator in that the maps are constructed like that of looking glass' thief where you have total freedom of entry and movement
but modern day with security systems, guards and gadgets like infrared or thermal vision - you know, like in most modern day heist films
and computer systems accessed through uplink-like interface
browse the newspaper for possible targets you get to pick yourself and perhaps purchase plans for your next heist target from your source - or heist the town hall for plans first
game keeps track of any evidence you leave behind.. items left behind, quest starring on cctv or generally leaving a hair turned in the location that wasn't the same before the heist
cops make a case against you and best you can do is switch your safehouse, MO or try to heist the cops and plant sabotage evidence, like framing your rival thief of your works

basic gameplay would be somewhere between thief, splinter cell and rainbow six

edit: only now reading the thread
goddamn, inz, will you marry me?

btw, did you play arcanum?
it was basically a western with near-to-fallout gameplay

I'll be the groom!

Yeah loved Arcanum and its setting, been thinking of replaying it actually, since there's still extensive modding efforts being done to add new stuff into the game.

Arcanum:WIP 4.4 thread, fixes loads of bugs left still left in the official final patch, and adds loads of new locations etc.

My dream is actually something like what they tried to do with hellgate london, except without entirely blowing.

Actually a mixture between serious sam (egoshooter for ranged classes), some 3rd person action like God of War with combos and stuff (for melee classes), and diablo2 (random item drops, randomly, but still great looking, generated world, stats/skills, optional multiplayer for like up to 16 players or something).

That would be my most awesome game ever.

A REAL secret agent game, where you don't have to shoot all the bad guys. But instead you need to collect information, find your way to the target and get the job done without all the exaggerated action that most games use to keep you interested.

Total war game without turn based part. Campaign map is still there but it is realtime, something like europa universalis. Then when two armies meet you get to play closeup of battle. Also game should have superior multiplayer with mp campaign and possibilities of multiple commanders per faction.

Something like the original "Ghost Recon" with new graphics. I was literally sweating through every poor when playing "Vanilla, Desert Siege and Island Thunder" etc. Probably my fav game of all times. Had a lot of mods for uniforms etc i remember.

So basically it's an old concept, but it boils down to a Special Ops simulator (Realistic, one hit one kill), with latest DX10 graphics and huge maps with a lot of bad guys to sneak up to etc. Maybe be able to play different nations Spec Ops. US, UK, SWE or what have you.
