update, its jsut a sensor... my friend owns a garage so now i can get the part 80%off and have him install it... it'll be maybe a couple of hundred.

I only said as much, because right before I got this one, I had an 1989 Honda Prelude with transmission problems and a leaky sunroof ... it sucked balls Sad I was sooooooo sick of dealing with it...

I'll never buy a used car again.

buy new is possibly the stupidest investment EVER... i buy and sell cars and my buddy is a dealer so i know about prices with cars and buying new is just MENTAL.

Yea well the chain on my bike has become so worn I need to replace it along with that the carbs need cleaning and balancing so its probably going to cost in excess of £160

dealing with a used car is mental IMO. not everyone is a car dealer you know. it's transportation, not an investment Wink Piece of mind is worth more to me than trying to make a little money off a used car.

all the cars in the impound are piece a shit hondas that are breaking down... also have traces of coke in the trunk...

anyway buying used , BUT being smart is the way to go.. buy something that is no more than 5+ years old and you will get a good reliable car that has been lowered heavily in price.

That sucks about your car. Right before you were going to sell it.

Cars i dont consider anny kind of investment. The only vehicle i consider an investment is my boat becasue so far its appreciated.

I lease a new vehicle every 3 years. Its easyer becasue i can just write off the entire cost, instead of having to deal with depreciation, and claiming it as an asset..blah blah. And i always drive new, (On my 5th new vehicle Smile ) and i always drive domestic. Fuck imports Smile

2 Saturns here...
1 with 223k miles
the other with 110k miles.

No problems at all.. regular oil changes at 4k miles and maintenance done at proper intervals..
Still get 39mpg avg on both..
They may not be the fastest or most exciting, but they are reliable..
