'Elite Warriors: Vietnam' Goes Gold

Bold Games today announced that its new PC title, Elite Warriors: Vietnam, has gone gold. The intensely realistic first-person shooter takes gamers through the authentic missions experienced by former Studies and Observations Group (SOG) member and best-selling author, Maj. John L. Plaster (USA-Ret). Elite Warriors: Vietnam is scheduled for release March 25 for a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Elite Warriors: Vietnam is as authentic to the real war as you can get. This is the way we actually operated, and I worked hard with the developers to get it right,” said Plaster. “Enemy uniforms, terrain, weapons – everything in this game is so close to what we encountered during the war that it will send a chill down the spine.”

Serving three full combat tours as a recon team leader during the Vietnam War, Maj. Plaster led small 6-8 man recon teams on covert missions along the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laos. Maj. Plaster’s SOG recon company was the highest decorated unit of the Vietnam War with five Congressional Medal of Honor recipients- these men became legends in the Special Ops community. The same dangers and obstacles SOG had to overcome to earn a Presidential Unit Citation in 2001 are waiting gamers in Elite Warriors: Vietnam.

In Elite Warriors: Vietnam, fight alongside Green Beret commandoes and conduct classified missions deep in Southeast Asia. By using patrol techniques that are still being used today in Iraq and Afghanistan, gamers will find themselves rescuing downed pilots, ambushing convoys, seizing enemy prisoners, and discovering targets for air attacks.

Elite Warriors: Vietnam faithfully recreates the secret world of small teams operating deep behind enemy lines. Players will lead these teams of Green Berets and Montagnard tribesmen deep into Laos, along the heavily occupied Ho Chi Minh Trail. Each mission offers multiple challenges giving players a new experience each time they play.

As an added bonus, Elite Warriors: Vietnam will include an excerpt from Plaster’s critically-acclaimed book, Secret Commandos.

Developed by nFusion Interactive, Elite Warriors: Vietnam for the PC is scheduled for release nationwide on March 25 and carry a suggested retail price of $29.99.
