I'm not sure how wide-spread support is for wide-screen resolutions in PC games. Is it worth getting a wide-screen LCD? Or should I stick to the standard stuff?

Well all the games I tried on my widescreen laptop seems to be working with the 16:9 resolution.

go and check out which games have widescreen support, whether native or using a hack...

Indeed a good forum they have over there, nouseforaname

I am running my games on a Dell 2405FPW and never had any issues on widescreen gaming thanks to some specific hacks & suggestions from that forum.
