I just purchased another OFP package (found it real cheap here in sweden, and as I never really got Recistance for real those years ago...).
OFP always been a great game and the boxart totally cool!
For the records I own the original OFP release, the "Gold Upgrade" box (the one with both OFP and Red Hammer) and from now GOTY Bestseller Edition...
The first 2 looks great, the 3 looks like utter shit!
They have fucking ruined it the fuckers. Look at the pics below and see for yourself!!!
The front of the box... WTF is up with the "PC Gamer presents"? More like PCG are fucking whores ruining this boxart. And a lot of other shit there is too...
The better part of the box, the back still looks more like the original one. Or atleast it looks cleaner and better. If only that dumb PCG thing would be taken away it would be totally acceptable.
The box when "open". Some fucking commercial papercracp instead of a manual (manual is on CD in PDF ONLY, GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH). Also look at the fucking CD's. They all look like some devilspawn from PCG's basement. FUCK! If all CD's are taken out there is some fucking POS behind there too. If the paper with all the crap is removed there are a lot of "avaible games" blah blah shit there too...
Fucking fuckers doing something like this to a boxart that used to be the one of the best!
Guess I'll have to print a custom cover for this one or something like that.
More whine:
They have been to lazy to implent the fucking 1.96 patch into the installation. It must be installed by yourself and launched from CD1 in that case. Otherwise the game is only 1.85. Lazy mofo's.
However I still love the game, 3cd install that installs all expansions and so on is kinda comfortable.
But sure, what to expect from a package for 139SEK... Still pissing me off!

I have no idea why it is PC Gamer all over the box. All I can say is that I fucking hate it. Well the box atleast, the game is sweeeeeet.
And those CD's looks like something I would've gotten with the magazine or something.
