hi there.
recently, my windows started acting weird.
for example, im browsing the internet, and out of the blue windows wants to install the logitech camera (web cam-which is already installed & working).
it does the "gathering information" phase, as if i asked for it to be installed, and then asks for drivers, VERY annoying.
or there's this another example, i launched my Digital Camera software (not related in anyway to the web cam), and windows installer pops and wants the Itunes.msi (itunes software install), wtf??
im lost here... please help

format c: will solve your problem Razz

You could try to go back to restorepoint windows have created, if the problem started not to long ago.

Make sure you have everything in windows updated including including either SP1 or SP2. Next make a good old virus scan.

i highly doubt that there's a virus that makes certain programs trigger windows installer...
and i have everything updated (SP2) and i also recently performed a full virus scan...
i have no idea about the cause of the problem..
