I'm looking to buy a new PC Gamepad. I've been looking at 3 controllers:
Logitech Rumblepad 2, Saitek P2600, and Thrustmaster Dual Trigger 2-in-1 Rumble Force.
Which of these 3 controllers has the most support, most rumble compatibilty, and least issues? I'm going to be using the controller for platform, adventure and racing games mostly.

Logitech Rumblepad 2 definitly,u won't have any incompatibility issues like no support for some games,logitech works always Wink
got my old half-breathin wingman [one stick broken] terroriZed by my son for like 2 years & it still works altho has strange sound inside while shakin it Laughing

even replaced my regular sony PS2 pads with logitech pads after i had my pc one for a while Smile

Yep, the rumblepad 2... I have the cordless edition, and damn! I must say that it really rocks! I bought it a couple mounths ago and i've used it very often and the batteries aren't even dead yet. AND i don't know if the other gamepads have as good drivers as logitech but the logitech ones are really good, it's really cool when u can configure the buttons and stuff for games that don't give you the option to use a gamepad, like Torino 2006.

Buy the wired 360 controller. Easily the most confortable out there.

Been thinking of getting a pad myself. The cordless rumblepad looks really good, a question though. Is it possible to use two of em without any problems?

Thinking of playing sports-games on my tv with two controllers. I have an xbox but the newer games look better when cabled from the pc to the tv anyways.

I recommend the NYKO Airflo. its very similar to the ps2 pad but has 2 more buttons and is a little bigger and tougher. also it has a build-in-fan to keep your hands dry Very Happy
its very compatible with most games, i never had any problems at all playing a game using this controller. only drawback is, it doesnt have the rumble thing, which i dont like anyway. always disabled that future on ps games.
i bought this one about 2 years ago, and it was 25$us. still working like a charm except the fan, i broke it when i threw the controller in the corner at one time Razz

A guy at CompUSA told me the Saitek has more support for rumble in games but doesn't autodetect games as much as the Rumblepad 2. He told me that the Thrustmaster gets the most returns of the controllers. But I noticed the thrustmaster has a built in chip that memorizes profiles. Can someone tell me if they have the Saitek P2600 or the thrustmaster rumble force and have any issues with it?

I'm using a standard PSX Dual Shock pad with a $10 psx->usb adapter. Works like a charm , and very inexpensive if you've got a psx controller lying around.

I replaced my Dualshock three times and all had the calibration problems, the Logitech forum was also full of post about this, without Logitech ever replying on the matter. I would also get a new one if they really work well now, but seeing your guys post i think they do, after a couple of years to fix the problems Wink

that tool didn't work at all for me, it lasted for about two minutes before calibtation was lost again Razz

As said, go for that Rumblepad 2 Wireless or get a PS2 DualShock 2 with a nice USB2 converter and you're set. Make sure you get a good PS2->PC converter with a relatively good driver that allows FF with many games, that is if you decide to get a PS2 gamepad.

I'd say getting ps2+convertor is same price as getting Rumble2 Wireless wich is 100% for pc Wink

Yeah, I'd tend to get the Rumblepad now, but two years ago I got a converter and since then it serves me well, so it still may count as a good option. Smile

*Forget about it dude, get the Rumblepad 2 Wireless, lol. ;D

I've got 2 Logitech Cordless Rumblepads v1 and 2 Cordless Rumblepads v2 and all 4 rock in sports games Wink

My 2 v1.0 pads are close to 2 years old and never had an issue so I'd always back Logitech.

Just got done play with the Rumblepad 2 cordless, very nice. Only thing that bothered me was the box says "batteries included" but nothing was in the box! Oh well...
