Sup guys. So I'm planning to buy a notebook suitable for games too so I need to choose which gfx card shoud i turn to:

1) ATI X700 128mb
or
2) GeForce Go 6600 128mb

I'd prefer opinions based on personal experience rather than stuff like "I like ATI better because their logo is fun" or "why the heck would u play games on a notebook, buy urself a decent desktop pc".

Thx.

p.s. can't find reviews of them gfx cards themselves - only in notebook reviews and they're kinda blurry to me (can't find one that clearly compares 6600 to X700)

Hmm a quick search reveals the ATI mobility card should be better though make sure you have a HDD with fast RPM's.

I have a p4 3.0 ghz, 512 mb ddr, ati mobility 9000 shared 128 mb, widescreen ...

works great for video ... but video games ... it's still a shared memory video card ... just don't expect the best performance out of a shared video card... but probably still worth the trade off for having a pc in the laptop form Wink

asus z170-A || core i5-6600K || geforce gtx 970 4gb || 16gb ddr4 ram || win10 || 1080p led samsung 27"

yeah, very useful reply - we're talking 6600/x700 here

Mutantius thx, but the few reviews I checked suggest (in 'final thoughts') that 6600 is better though i can't find a comparative test

Get one with a 7800gtx in, Dell do one and so do alienware of the top of my head.
A friend has the dell and it will woop most desktop pc's in gaming thanks to the gtx and a 1.7 pentium m, and the 17" widescreen suffers no ghosting whatsoever
