Right after it has him falling off the "Balcony" when the woman kicks him at the very begining and then it begins to go to the load screen the game never loads it just sits there with *loading* Can anyone help please?

Just leave it, the game will actually load - just takes about 5-10 minutes for some people due to a bug it seems (whilst it's loading there is pretty much no HD activity for ages).
You can go to:
C:\Program\Atari\Marc Ecko's Getting Up - Contents Under Pressure\_Bin
Then find the 'message' file and open it, you'll be able to see what is happening when it freezes - the game definately has issues.
This is part of the log for me:
'<WARNING: Programming> Mesh c:\program\atari\marc ecko's getting up - contents under pressure\engine\chars\trane\trane_act1_toy referred to swappable part Trane_HoodDwn, which doesn't appear to be present!

Cool Thanks I'll have to try that but ya there is no HD activity except maybe the first 20 seconds or so

Yep, HD activity for a short while then it stops dead for ages and ages, it will eventually start back up - definately a bug of some sort.

I thought that but Gamespot noted in their review that the loaded times for the PC version were far far too long.
I've noticed if you keep tapping Start on your pad, or whatever the keyboard equivalent is, you'll get in game quicker - albeit it is still damn slow. I noticed it on accident when I accidentally had slow motion activated on my pad.

I alt + tab sometimes, and it work if i get our of the loading screen, if not its just flashing my background icons and etc -.-
