people actually use WAP on there mobile phones to view websiteS? i tried WAP once and it was slow as hell and just plain annoying.

WAP sucks. Get a smartphone instead that can handle the handheld version of Opera. That will be real webpages in your instead of some stupid WAP pos.

i dont understand why someone would want wap for nforce.
I can understand the use of wap for certain news sites. You get info if there is a very big thing happening, such as 9/11 or the tsunami, but then again, it is only info, which you will get eventually when you are at home.
Nforce on wap is plain useles. You know that a certain game has been released, so what?
You cant donwload anything on nforce, you cannot download anything on a cellphone anyway.
The only thing that can happen, is that you can brag to your friends... but you should not brag about scene stuff to your friends. So there is no use for it.

You do realize that your statements can be applied to a regular browser, too, right?
Nforce on Opera/Firefox is just plain useles. You know that a certain game has been released, so what? You cant download anything on nforce ...
Personally, I don't find it to be useless. It's an excellent way to track what games are newly available without wading through a ton of ads on a super-slow site with a bunch of nitwits writing reviews for games they don't even like the genre of.
I'm not likely to attempt to browse the internet on my phone, but if I did, Nforce would be one of the sites I tried to go to.

my phone is a smartphone but i think it only connects at 28k which is slow as hell so i wouldnt even bother trying to load real webpages.
whats the fastest connection you can get on a mobile phone?

No idea about the fastest I get. Never bothered to check, it is kinda slow but if you're on the bus or something I can take it.
Still waiting for the P990 to be released so that I can get some real 3g on a good smartphone.

Seriously tho, i really want those data pad things.
Like, u can do complex math calculations, have normal, good access to an internet(or an intranet), read books, learn shit, listen to music to id assume etc
It'd be so sick to have one or 2 of those and a tricorder? what?! thats badass...
Those to devices would make our society like 10x as smart...just because of the vast amount of knowledge at our finger tips...the internet and computing isnt that portable and easy enough yet - not easy enough to make the....the non intelligent (?) ppl interested in such things. |

Just wait and the time will come. Even in my shitty town there are a few public access points to use with PDA's or laptops with wireless...
Ehm that is of course a matter of how you describe them... One access point is open even though it should not be and another one is public but very few know about it.
Real nice sometimes IMO.
