|
 |
hi all.
i found out an hour ago, that my friend (a female), got dumped by her boyfriend or whatever, and she has had rough brake ups before.
the problem is, that i havent been able to keep in touch with her recently (2 last weeks).
i was thinking that tomorrow, i come over her place, suprise her and probably give here a little something (chocolates maybe?) and talk.
i wanted to ask you guys for an advice on what i should bring, i think i better bring something because that will cheer her up a bit, and suprise is always good.
thanks for any help

Well it comes down to your relation to her. If you're really good friends and you both "know" that (aka, you are very sure about eachother not feeling sexual atraction to eachother and so) any present will do as she will understand you're not hitting on her anyway.
If you are close but not super-duper-close friends a little more discrete present will do.
And remember, girls likes to talk about their problems so just sit there and listen. Put some words in now and then so that she knows you're listening.
Don't ask questions either, let her take things in her own pace.
Girls gets happy easily if you listen to them and just hear them out.
A song won't be necessary really, it even could be going a little over the edge and give the wrong impression. What if you happen to take a song thats related to her now ex boyfriend? Skip the song and just talk to her... Unless you know a song she really likes and makes her smile everytime.
Thats the best advice I can give... Good luck...

if you can cook, bring over a whole bunch of ingredients and cook dinner for her/with her. Chances are she's probably not been eating much and moping about.
Chocolates are a no-no, girls tend to bring them for other girls but thats more a case of "lets stuff our faces with chocolate and forget being thin for those bastard men" type of thing.
If she has a favourite tv program bring over a boxset if you have it, or something funny. I'd say she probably has female friends to do the talking thing with, and you might want to aim to cheer her up.

Well, here's what worked for me....Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam.
Some may say 1. women dont like stp, alice, pear and 2. they dont have 'happy' songs
All of which is bullshit.
Like Interstate Love song....its about a lover running away and lying. But, the subtle lyrical changes make the song positive. And, if you really do care about her, like as a friend (or maybe more?) play her the following song
Black Again
Stone Temple Pilots
Quote: |
When you’re fed up and lonely
And nothing else seems to matter really
I’ll be here waiting for the
Black cloud to leave you
I’ll be here to hold your hand
When you’re tired and lonely
Hold your breath underwater
And know you’ll rise to the
Surface slowly
Think of me as a ship that might hold you
Carry you to the shore
When you’re tired and lonely
She can’t eat
She can’t sleep
She’s not well (she’s lonely again)
She can’t breathe
She’s in bed
She’s in hell
But she’ll never
Really be alone
As long as I’m beside her
|
EDIT - Goddamnit, just saw your last post so much effort, I actually wrote the fuckin lyrics to Black Again, i didnt ctrl+c them
