Finally out
I'll let someone else fill in the template, dont have time hehe
Edit: and btw, seems to be some work to get this one started, might be why a release took so long.. from the nfo:
Method #1
1. Run alcohol and select Burn Image. Select .mdf file
2. Pick RAW/DAO, 4x speed between writing options ÜÛÛÛÜ ÜÛÛÛÜ
3. Don't select any profile. Only enable Buffer Underrun Protection.
4. When Alcohol request TOC, leave TOC unmodified "First Option" (reccomended choice)
5. Run the copy with a cdrom/dvdrom reader. Don't use a burner if it is not a Plextor, in which case you have to use Plextools and use the "Enable Hide CD-R Media" option
6. Install the game, and reboot if needed (due to starforce drivers)
7. Launch the game and have fun
Method #2
1. You need Windows XP SP2 in order to play
2. IDE PCI Controller Drivers MUST be OS STANDARD IDE PCI Drivers 3. Unpack file sfcure01 located in itw-tools.rar, launch file !setup.bat through MS-Dos prompt and reboot your box
4. If you have AMD64, then use sfcure_x64 instead
5. Mount Alcohol 120 image and install the game
6. Once installation is complete, launch sfdrup 2 update StarForce3 drivers and reboot box
7. Launch !start.bat through MS-Dos Prompt, file located in the tools.rar pack
8. Unpack file sfn.rar & launch sfn.exe
9. Select in this order: "Disable node", "Disable CD", "Disable node", and the IDE channel you use for real CD/DVD units ( Pr. Slave, Sc. Master or Sc. Slave ), depending on how your IDE units are connected. Try to disconnecter CD/DVD units from PC.
10. Launch the game and when asked use the serial *****-*****-*****-*****-*****

PS: if you wanna install SP2, it installs just like directx, no bluescreen reinstall mumbo jumbo.
Also, search around for a windows genuine validation crack, it's a tiny .dll file, and then enjoy all the windows.update.com updates including the official clean SP2 install |
Why get so complicated? Just use the old corp version and a keygen. Generate any key (takes like 5 minutes) and install it, update till you're blue in the face. There are even instructions on tthere how to change the product key if you had the old corp version using the old common blacklisted key. |
That doesnt work, you need a modified .dll file to pass the windows genuine shit, or not? :O
Not all updates require the genuine check. |
Believe it or not. (No dll needed, just a page with information)
About the game, I hope it's way better than aftermath... god that was a letdown.

Yeah pretty nice, got 1 bug so far, but i'm not sure how i got it so i cant reproduce it.. but on the global screen i couldnt get time moving, i started the time and it just stopped right away, a restart of the game solved this so no biggie.

some people like tis style of game. Much like silent storm but with lasers and you can build bases n shit. Has more storyline to it also.
With Starforce nightmare disable node disable cd disable node disable ata seems to work for me
For those having problems running the game please read the nfo properly. i mean PROPERLY. the instructions are all right there i mean you couldnt make it any easier.

You can burn in iso or bin format and mount afterwards. You can burn more games on one DVD that way.

well, I finally installed SP2 and got it working, but I had to unplug cables...No big deal, I haven't used my CD/DVD drives in ages , and now that X3 is out and will require the same steps...
Anyhow, this game is absolutely fantastic, if you like the genre. I read about tons of crashing bugs in their official forums and I haven't had any problems yet. The game is pretty tough, and you need to think out every action, even non-combat strategic actions, to the 'T'. For example, what buildings to build, what bases to connect, who to train, etc, etc.
Fantastic game.

Trust, the crashing bugs will come. For the first few hours I had none, but now im a little way into the game (after the alien ship has arrived) i'm getting them nearly every other mission. Very annoying when you have to keep going back to reload your old save games from like a hour ago. Game would be alright if it wasn't for the crashes.

Crashing bugs are due to some sounds the Warhogs make, turn off SW Sound in Options to fix it.

I don't think so. Maybe if DT4 lives up to expectations it will be possible.

wth... I installed DT4 yesterday, set all emulation options ON and mounted the MDS-file. Installed, rebooted (starforce), filled in the serial, and started the game... Not a single problem whatsoever... I was like "huh??? what the hell???".. no disconnecting at all.. no need for any of the sf-tools... Just DT4...

Hmm..
This is my setup:
IDE Channel 0: Primary & Secondary HD's
IDE Channel 1: DVD+-R/RW on Secondary Channel (nothing on primary)
2xAlcohol Virtual Devices
1xDaemon Tools v4 Devices, all emulations on.
CDEFG = HD partitions
H,I = Alcohol Devices
J = DVD+-R/RW
K = DTv4 Device
It checks the disk in the beginning and zips right past it and into the game. Running Windows XP SP2 (legal copy btw).
ps. forgot that one of my IDE-disks died a while back, so I've only got one HD on IDE, and two on S-ATA.

if u have windows installed on a sata hard disk it's normal than u don't need to unplug/disable anything. if not physically unplugging the cd/dvd drives is required

I wonder if antiblaxx and other sf-tools may have messed up the registry etc., making the system susceptible to Starforce protection? I tried antiblaxx once, but I never got a game working with it... I have used sr7.stop several times. It's so many steps and components that could interfere.
