|
 |
Since the girlfriends expatriate contract in Oman starts feb 2 i have been looking at used cars for her.
The contract is for one year to start with, wich means she can take the car with here back to sweden after that year without paying any taxes or customs fees!
I'm currently on the look out for 4x4 s and i have found two that i'm interested in.
One is an Infinity and the other is an H2
Does anyone have any experience of either car?
Buying them will be a good deal since they are priced between 30-35 thousand euros down there and around 50 thousand euros here!
Got any other ideas?
H2 ( i have mailed him for pics)
http://www.finfo.ae/Car_Info_Show_Exe.php?carid=712
Infinity fx-35
http://www.bahcars.com/En/CarDetails.php?ref=5343
Im also considering this one to (as a side order in a way) since its so fucking cheap) only 12 thousand euro:-)

Driving a hummer is the equivalent of wiping your ass with the planet.

The hummer looks plain ugly in my opinion, at least the civilian version. And i've never seen one on the streets here nor in the US, only the US Army driving them. Who is buying such a car anyway, except for those wannabe celebs from MTV Cribs.

thats what i was thinking. A hummer is a practical vehicle, if you really do 'off road'.
Like say you live up in the boonies (in Canada). The winter can be a bad time to drive around in anything less than a Ford 150. I'd love to have a Hummer if I lived in Sudbury or North of Barrie and shit.
For city driving and gettin around, its a waste of space, money and it pollutes.

Both Ford and Chevrolet make much better and efficient 4x4 vehicles than a hummer. i hope they suffer the same fate as the delorian |
No they dont dude, the h2 kicks their ass. It is based on some GM parts but thats where te comparison ends!
Quote: | The H2 starts as your basic GMT820 truck platform, the one introduced on Chevy and
GMC pickups in 1999 and now forming the basis for the Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon,
Escalade and the rest of GM’s full-size trucks and sport/utilities. The basic suspension is
also from the trucks. The H2 drivetrain consists of a Vortec 6.0-liter gasoline V8 making
316 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 360 lb-ft of torque at 4000. It’s attached to a 4L65E
four-speed automatic.
But that wouldn’t make it a Hummer; that would make it something like a boxy,
wind-resistant Escalade, which it ain’t. The H2 is not just a cosmetic rebadge of a Tahoe
dressed up to look like an Army mutant. There are several mechanical measurements and
items of hardware that make an SUV truly off-road capable and they’re all here on the H2. |
It might look like shit but it is actually i competent 4x4 and it will kick the rest of american SuV's ass!

Infinity is made by Nissan. It will be far more reliable than the H2 or the Porsche..
If you have to get a gas sucking SUV, get the Lexus or the Range Rover.. The only Hummer worth owning is an H1..

Personally, I think the original, military style hummers are the baddest...and prolly have the best off roading ability...tho, thats pure speculation, i dunno for sure

H2 is such a cheesey SUV, its basically a suburban with a body kit. The infinity is one of those SUV mini van look alikes, also cheesy.
If you want a 4x4 SUV, get the Land Cruser. Dont see the point in a luxury SUV, unless your a soccer mom.
I agree with Derwood though, i also dislike SUVs.
