to start: i have nothing against handicap people just so you know. but what i find annoying is this
if you look at them, then you are staring at them, thinking how weird they are
if you look away from them then you dont wanna look at them cause you think its disgusting cause they know you didnt just miss them
had it yesterday in the trainstation. im going into a waiting area and its filled with 5 mentally handicap people and their monitors. so i go in, sit down and start solving my sudoku puzzles. then when they leave to catch their train one of the monitors comes to me and says i dont have to be ashamed, WTF, there i was minding my own business and this bitch comes in to accuse me. Excuse me that i dont come in and start playing with them, goddamnit

i know its antisocial and sick, but most of these people really make me laugh, i cant do anything about it, its just funny.
this guy walking on my left on the street might be a spastic, but when he starts pulling off his crazy freestyle moves like on a dancefloor, i cant help it, i just start laughing.

when i was sround 20 it was your duty in germany to either go to the military or do social work for a year. natuarly i chose the later one and ended up working with handicapped people. i fed them,i helped them cloth, i cleaned their flats, i drove them around and i learned respect for them. of course like with able people there are assholes but the lot is extremly cool. they are always liberal and make you laugh not because of what they got but because they make the best out of it and enjoy themselves.
i never will forget the day 6 handycapped kids cried because it was my last day on the job of driving them to their special school. there was one kid i had to carry in my arms from their flat to the car every day in that year and he couldn't stop crying. one of my fondest memories.
my dad works with handicapped people and i must say that over the years i leaned a lot and grew when it comes to this issue.
jesus christ was a gangsta rapper. they killed him. he came back and made a platinum album.

The only thing that bothers me about the handicapped, is when they are put into a classroom full of un-handicapped kids, and then the handicap use up most of the teachers time and effort.
He they most likely wouldn't contribute to society, be they are using more resources.
Not meant to be an insult, just my opinion.

They have their own helpers. Some handicapped people can be quite clever and can improve society so saying that is pretty stupid. Also denying a handicapped person an education because it requires more resources is a pretty disgusting opinion. |

Well let's heat this discussion up a bit, should (seriously) handicapped people be allowed to have kids if they really want to? What do you think? I don't think this is a good thing. btw, I am talking about ppl with an IQ > 80 or something, not blind or deaf people.

i got nuffin against handicapped peeps , but some of em ( a small minortiy i admit) do play on the fact and their do gooder helpers do the same aswell , i feel for your predicement but dont make a scene when you are wronged , if i made a scene everytime i was wronged in public i would be banned form most places .
yes they are different but they ask us to treat them the same , but like i said some of em go off one when they cant get there own way or some kid is looking at them , i got 2 young kids and when they see a handicapped person they stare i cant help it , wot do i tell them ? " yes kids their different " and get blamed for discrminating , or " no kids there the same as us " and get bitched at for not recognising their needs?

Read my post more closely. Do you believe that the average handicap is just as likely to succeed than a normal person? It was better when they were in a special class with only handicapped kids. |

Well, if they werent allowed, alot of my friends would be fucked!
But yeah, just because the parents of a child maybe not be the sharpest knives in the drawer, doesnt mean the child will have the same level of intellect.
My parents arent too smart, well, my dad is - but I did good in school, before i was expelled...never got less than an 80% on anything....still, school isnt a good way to measure intelligence. I knew guys who were wiz's when it came to books, but you could con them out of anything - they had no street smarts, no people skills and such. You need a good mix of both to be successful. |
