screw them the greedy sods, ive bought half of my psp games 2nd hand. and how are you supposed to get hold of old games if you cant buy em second hand?

Trust EA to be this greedy.
Actually, having pre-owned games means that more sales of new games take place, because the people can trade in an old game, halving the price, which is alot more attractive then having to spend £35 on a new game.
Is this not a problem in america too, why are they focusing on the UK?

I dont know what the big fuss is. For a game to be classed as preowned it has to be bought at least once anyway, right? And if all games could be classed as decent, they're wouldnt be quite so many preowned.

i always thought preowned bargains were a rip off.
EB games over here in denmark take i think 3 used games in order to get a new one. or two used games and buy the new one for a small fee.
2nd hand games in good condition however, thats pretty good. besides if ur smart ur prob gonna make a backup of the original in any case before selling it.

Greedy bastards. Trust the games industry to take this stance. What's next, can't sell them 2nd hand or on Ebay. Or how about not being abled to sell your own DVD's. It amazes me that they can get away with it. If any other industry tried it on they would be slated.

It depends on how new the game is you're trading in. If i'm finished with a game, I trade it in as soon as I see another one I want, that way I only have to pay £10 for every new game, apart from the initial investment.

could also be that alot of games end up in the classic range but still being to high in price compared to a 2nd hand title of the same game. If this happens i really hope the public just stop buying their £40-£50 games altogether, its about time we saw ar games sales slump!, are you really going to buy a game that can be completed in 8 hours or less for £40 and then not be allowed to resell it or exchange for another?, its these thing like this that the game industry has probably done so well in the 1st place and now they want to screw us over even more!

On a related note.. would you guys buy every game you wanted (console,pc,handheld) if they were all £10.00 New?? (thats about 18 dollars i think - dunno about Euros)
I know I would, Im sure game pubs and devs would make a lot more money if games were a tenner

Amaxing that the games industry treats legitimate customers with such utter disrepect. Probably about time customers formed a group to pressure/regulate the industry?

i think its about time some companies including games companies were brought to justice. Eu spends all its time fucking complaining that OMG microsoft have a media player in XP its not fair to Real(lly crrap) player. And the companies that really exploit people slip idly by. But id like to see the movie/music industry take a fisting first. Makes me sick when they show billy the carpenter on a propaganda real and tell me piracy keeps him out of a job. Make tom cruise take a fucking pay cut problem solved i'm sure him and every other A list actor taking $1 million less would save all those jobs. And the game companies need a slapping for pricing. Seriously 90% of games are overpriced just like 80% of movies rlsd in a yr suck.
