This first one just speaks for them all, I mean she's basicly saying that because all terrorists maybe be muslims, they can kill them all?
Americans forget somethings very rapidly, I mean, they are still revengefull about 9/11 that they basicly don't care about the opinion of the rest of the world, but they forget that Europe has been atacked also, more than one time, there was Madrid's bombings, there was London's attacks, and etc, I mean we basicly suffered more than the U.S. but they still believe that they are the only victims, and I mean, everything that happened here in Europe, was indirectadly to help U.S. in a difficult time, but sometime later they just seem to forget everything.
It almost seems like for an American, there is only the U.S. and the rest of the world, for them, Terrorists, Europeans, Asians, Africans, its everything the same for them!

Why, to see the greatest buildings and the greatest stores? that's everything you've got to show along with your big weapons, I know America does everything big and awesome, and I could love america if they just had other way of thinking and acting.
Why do you fear so much that this will turn to "another hate america" thread? may it be cause there is actually something going very wrong with america? Why do you think there is that america is so hated worldwide? sure you made very mistakes around the world, but it's not about that, the true reason is that, despite of all the mistakes you've made, you're still unable to recoginize those mistakes and repent them.
But like I've said, I didn't post here to made insults to america or american people, I've just found this really intriguing coments on that website, made my coment and posted my opinion. everyone that reads it will just post their opinion, I just don't understand why you start to offend Europe and all those who have their reservations concerning America, by the way, that site was written by american people only, and I guess there is very american people who disagree with the coments posted there, I'm just criticing those specific people and the ones who think like them.

Do you realize that most of America is not all big city? We have a very big country. I live in a town of 10,000 and never known any sort of crime. What you people see on TV and the INTERNET is so false and misleading.

I work with Americans every day and have visited the country many times since I live 2 hours from your border. Arrogant, ignorant, and rude...exactly how you expect them to be, lol.

i'm american (and canadian) and lived in US for a long time before, and i AGREE, it is NOT like what tv shows make it seem like.. very peaceful and people were friendly, however i lived in orange county, its close to LA but obviously not as big and diverse so maybe i only saw the good...
i work and live in Toronto, however am in the process of locating back to US nd living there since i love both countries the same amount... me hating the US gov. doesn't mean i hate the people or the land itself, THAT is what americans keep forgetting, we don't hate the land or people, we hate the gov. and the blind supporters of their actions.

well true it is often the media that shows america as negative as possible.
being against america is a popular opinion nowadays so the media exploits this by showing the ppl what they believe and want to see.
i m sure most americans are just normal people and all americans i personally know are pretty open and modern as far as i can say.
now the person ronhrin quoted in the first post is definitely stupid, shallow, ignorant and over-generalizing, but such statements always get their way into the news, because they prove what most of the world thinks of america.
i m sure most americans dont think this way, but their opinion isnt interesting to the media.
i ve just read all the quotes on the link ronhrin provided, most of these people arent just fanatics, theyre simply lunatics.

Ronhrim, your oversimplified view of America is simply ignorant. Could you sum up Portugal with a handful of quotes? Now imagine a country 100x larger than Portugal, far more of a melting pot of cultures and ideas. You can find people in any country spouting extremist nonsense, but at least we don't have the thought police ready to put us in jail for denying the Holocaust or religious police beating women for not having a male family member escorting them around.

I'm aware that not every American is like bush, I have some American Friends and two of them are my best friends, I'm only stating that if obvously there are people who think like Bush and follow him blindly, that's the people I'm criticizing, I'm sure that probably only 5% to 10% of all americans think and act like Bush, but even so, that 5% to 10% is the image comming out to the rest of the world, I respect americans, like I respect Europeans, Asians and Africans, but those people in front of your country and those people that think this ridiculous and lunatic things are just scary, I honestly believe that the reason why America is currently so low-rated is for a very simply reason, you've voted for Bush again, I'm mean, his a retard with a bomb, and you people just allowed him to continue in your administration, I think everything resumes to that. I'm sorry if I seemed to generalize America, but everyone with a piece of mind will agree that Bush winning the 2nd election was the biggest mistake of American history.

It seems to be popular to hate Americans these days. In Europe we almost exclusively hear the bad stuff, you just gotta stop believing blindly in everything the media puts out there.
I've noticed alot of Americans are pretty defensive when the subject is brought up, and I can understand why, they hear and see these kind of things very often.
