Im guessing wildly but, try in device manager to update the controller for the item under the computer listing !
Might be named differently since my Windows isnt english !

i think u must reinstall windows in order to change from standard pc to acpi...

i know that i must reinstall windows and i can't switch in windowss it's not possible, but my problem is what i have acpi-pc or uniprocessor or multiprocessor

whats your hardware? i think with a normal athlon xp u have a acpi-uniprocessor-pc. with a p4 (hyperthreading) you got acpi-multiprocessor-pc afaik
