Lets say that i have a movie that i want to copy. I have always used dvd shrink to get the movie into right size. But the problem with this movie is that it has some kind of protection so when i get to 26% of the backup it stops.
Is it any better programs i can use and how do i get past the protection
Alot of new dvds are using ew protections, the most well know is the "running man". If you like to keep the discs whole (as in keeping extras and shit) if you see any Unreferenced material make sure it's all set to Still Image (this doesn't always apply, so what the material in the preview first for any running men)
I've noticed discs with the new FBI Anti-Piracy logo (Madagascar, SWep3) give a CRC error before you even start copying. It'll scan the disc just fine, but as soon as you hit Backup it crashes. I used DVDDecrypter to put the entire disc unmolested onto my hdd, then drag n dropped the ISO it made (not the mds if it matters) into Shrink. Made backups just fine.
