yes the tool is free but if 25% of the people install the adware...

Many starforce games and others play without sr7stop sfnm etc. But you still have to unplug your drives for newer starforce games. They are working on the IDE part as we speak.
How should they try and make money from free software. Ask for donations?
They need to eat too. Its your choice to install the adware, they didnt force it on anyone.

I'm curious about what dt pro will bring. (If it will ever be released this year)
The only thing that can help DT from totally flopping is the virtual IDE drive, but they seem to have problems coding that, else they would've already released it. Its not even sure if it will be there when dt pro gets released:

Planned? I dont like this word, I'd rather like "implemented".
In the end law will win against the copy protections and not the coders, because more and more people are complaining about the methods the protections are using. Starforce will end like Sony's DRM. Or someone else will code a virtual IDE drive and dt loses the race - and their reputation.

You're all so very ignorant sometimes.
DT4 worked perfectly fine for me. I've yet to have ANY sort of trouble running a DT4 game. Maybe being a dick and not trying to crack SF3 before and leaving it be until this came out is the reason it works  bitches.
Back to play World Racing 2.. or Path of Neo...or X3.. BITCHES.

Um, you can uncheck the Adware at installation... So no, they do NOT force you to install it.

well, people who actually read while installing wont get any adware and those who want to give something to the developers back, why not
that said, the readme also stated, that they are still developing more sophisiticated approaches in making it work without haveing to ripp out all of your ide-drives, so when that day comes, i ll be a happy camper. Till then i ll just stay away from starforce protected games... ...or buy em...

Probably by DT4 supporting all current copy protections they ment it supports mounting cd/dvd image of with any protection to virtual cd-rom to read files/install...
How it can be not related to DT4 if yoiu use SCSI virtual drives that are blacklisted, means DT4 is already blacklisted, it was build to be blacklisted because they know that!
This marketing twat basically says that since all scsi drives are blacklisted if you have ide drive in system, you can do 2 things about it, PHYSICALLY dismount your IDE drive (cd-rom) and play game with DT4 only or use SD4 Hide as with v3.7.
