well, i think most of us are used to alcohol, sfcure, sr7stop and sd4hide...
since dt4 release i ve been giving it a try and my conclusion is that old methods are better
dt4 doesnt apport nothing new and even make it more difficult to run games like sr7 or sd4.6
would like to know general opinions about this

I totally agree. I tried 4 games with DT4: Matrix, Crime Wars, Total Overdose, Advent Rising and Vietcong. Only Vietcong and Advent Rising worked mounted (with Securom emulation enabled). Total Overdose and Crime Wars didn't work at all, while Matrix (base version 1.0, not patched) needed SF Nightmare (!!!) to start, since you have to disable your optical drivers. Besides, tools like SR7 Stop don't recognize this version of DT4, therefore you cannot even use them.
Conclusion: I'll keep on using DT 3.47 with SR7 Stop (or SafeDisc Hide). You just mount the image, click one button and play! Far easier in my opinion. Thumbs definitely down for DT4.

We're not bitching about anything. Just the fact that a software is free doesn't mean that you must always say it's good even if it's total crap.
So far, DT4 is only useful with SafeDisc and StarForce (but only prior to 3.5 version). With later revisions of SF and with SecuROM in general (especially from revision 7.00.000.012 on), DT3.47 with SR7 Stop is definitely a better option. I never had to use SF Nightmare to start SecuROM games. That's what happens using DT4 with Matrix.

We bitch 'cause it's still a free world, and there is a thing called freedom of speech. You don't like other people opinions, fine, that's your right,same as mine is not liking Bush, the fake war on terror, rising prices for cigarttes, my neighbour's music and so on. It was just an example. Nothing more. I like people to stay on topic as well, but that kind of questions are simply too anoying, not to mention they are far from topic.

Hold ya horses sailor, I did not say I didnt like other peoples opinions, nor did I say I liked them.
I asked WHY people cry about something that is free, whats the use? Is it just for blowing of some steam?! or getting your postcount higher?l WHATS THE POINT?
Im mean if you actuly bought something and it didnt work, then I would understand.
Whining about something thats free, is as usefull as a dickflavored lollypop.
but True... You got me there, its the protection bitching forum.
but still... Some actuly post here to get help(or to offer help) on how to bypass certain cd/dvd protections, but when its ONLY bitching, might I suggest Official Bitchin' Spot  (this is again NOT meant directly at you Drvre, just in gereral.)
Oh and btw, this IS Nforce... There is no such thing as "freedom of speech", ask any mod

I like DT 4 . Every game ive tried so far works flawlessly.

Bet on a Soldier would not work for me all the time with DT 3.47 for some reason. But with DT 4 it works perfect everytime.

Not a sailor, just a Dr . The point is that this opinions, in the end, find their way to the ears of the developers. Maybe not specific opinions, but the general feel. And pls don't tell me to post them in the DT forum, bitching is not allowed there too, 'cause "it's free". Well, pollution is for free, that doesn't mean I should keep my mouth shut and enjoy it . As for the mod part, I haven't had a fist in my mouth from a mod here, only other user's. Respect Photish  .
