Hey. Sry if this is the wrong forum, but how can i find out which ports i can use for fx. downloading with torrent ?

What i mean is, that my ISP somehow has closed alot of ports already. How do i find out which ports i can use ? Its not an internal question, like how i forward routerports. Its the external closing of ports im talking about if it makes any sence at all.

Hope someone can make sence of it.

Sorry, should have read your message better.

If you want to find which ports are closed go to

http://www.dslreports.com/forums/all

Look up your ISP and see if there are any messages related to ports. Calling your ISP might be your first bet though but I have heard where some either don't know or lie. I have personally witness the techs. tell me they did not close ANY ports but my ISP did.

there are some port scanners out on google.

then go to cmd.exe, do netstat -r and you have your ip.

Then you can portscan your own ip, and you will see which ports are open.

Go to https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2 ... that page will portscan you and tell you what ports are open/closed ..

Altho i'm afraid your firewall will block it completely ...
