Thanks guys, yea it was great Smile, yes Sych thats the correct pronounciation.

Basically Eid is a celebration we have after the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is an entire month where we fast from dusk till dawn eating and drinking nothing until dawn. Its a very testing month and it improves a person mentally and physically in most cases it makes you appreciate the food and drink we take for granted it lasts 30 days and each day you get up early morning eat food and drink then you close the fast so it could be 5:54am that is closes you eat as much as possible before then and pray, after that time though you are not allowed to eat drink or smoke until around 6pm at night....so you have to last the entire day at work exhausted belly rumbling and feeling groggy the first few days but after that it gets easier as your body in a way adapts.

Oh yes you cant have sex for the entire month......not that I have the luxury as it is Very Happy

Eid is awesome though, you spend 3 or so days just constant partying I had a great time spending time with my old friends who I hadnt seen in ages yesterday Smile that is one great thing about it too, everyones just in such a buzz you can meet a total stranger on the road and you wouldnt be afriad to go up to him wish him a good Eid and make friends.

Wow...I pronounced it right? Well, i am pretty good with spoken language Neutral

Is the dusk till dawn fasting religious? Like, whats the religious signifgance to it? Cuz it does sound like something that would be good for you in numerous way, something I might try. But if I try something, i wanna know history, even tho I may not do it for the same religious goals.

you don't need islam to fast.. its mostly to train yourself to better realize how easy we have it and how a daily life of a starving person is. no food or water till sun down really shows you what they must go through, although alot of people pig out after which is messed up... religious parts come in with no sex, no swearing, no doing anything bad, helping everyone whenever you can and such..

i use to do it when i was younger, i dont do it anymore.

it's the thought that counts Wink

It's a fundraiser btw ... you get people to sponsor you and then they pay you like a buck or whatever for every hour you do it.
