					| I do not reall know if there is any way to test it without actually making sure to get a virus.
On the other hand, if there are no problems one can assume that the antivirus is working...

					| Open up notepad, paste the following text into it:
X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

Save it as a .com file, give it any name, say test.com or something and try to run it. The virus scanner should misfire and detect a virus.

					| Strange. But it came some error-messages because I had a problem with uninstalling norton systemworks for some months ago. I cant open it because Windows can't reach the file. It's secured, or something..

					| Reading this or this may help.
Of course there's nothing like a nice, clean, fresh install of Windows.

					| Hmm seems as if my Antivirus is working great... Pasted the "X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H* "-string into a txt dokument and pressed Ctrl+s (did not had the time to rename it to a .com and execute it) and bam! Zone Alarm gives me a popup saying it has been neutralized and all that...
