|

Alright, I'm looking at all these games recently, COD2, X3, even BF2 is a resource hog. I bought an AMD processor and motherboard a little while ago and have fallen in love with it. Athlon64 is the processor to be using now, and I've noticed (well, I noticed a while ago) that ncix.com, which is where i buy most of my hardware from, seeing as I only pay 7% tax on it, has got their price drops going on the Athlon64x2 processors. Seeing as I need a new motherboard for a new graphics card to upgrade, why not just do all 3? So my thoughts are...
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Dual Core Processor S939 Manchester 2.2GHZ 512KBX2 90NM Retail Box ......... $533.36 CDN
MSI K8N NEO4 PLATINUM MOTHERBOARD ATX S939 DDR PCI-E16 PCI-E4 PCI-E 4PCI SATA RAID SOUND LAN 1394 ........... $158.70
ATI Radeon X1800 XL 256MB 256BIT GDDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI HDTV-OUT Video Card Retail.......... $561.61
Also comes with
HALF-LIFE 2 - Voucher Only - *Bundle W. Athlon 64 CPU & Barebones System Only*
Nero 7 Ultra Edition *Promo Only - Bundle With AMD Athlon X2 Systems - Not For Sale*
I figure I can sell the Hl2 to a friend or something for 20 bucks or whatever.
What do you all think? I mean, if you've read my post here about using an LCD tv as a monitor, you'll know my next computer monitor (soon) is going to be a 37" LCD television. I figured to run at the native resolution in games and to really take advantage of its beauty I need an upgrade. What do you all think?
It appears to be the time of upgrades, seeing as theres a few posts like this.

You'll kill me, but it's the MDG deal. It's a BenQ model. I posted on AnAndTech and they all mentionned its an alright television. We talked a lot about Pixil Mapping and resolutions from the computer to the television..
I also just realized
AMD ATHLON 64 X2 4400+ DUAL CORE PROCESSOR S939 TOLEDO 2.2GHZ 1MBX2 90NM RETAIL BOX is what I'd prefer at NCIX for $629.98. I'd prefer the l2 cache at 2mb to cause some SERIOUS havoc.
Now, why would you think itll look like ugly for television?

Then change it back to 4:3 if its an analog in. Don't stretch the image unless its widescreen already. ANYWAY, back to these particular upgrades. Anyone have thoughts?

I was going to post "Im done with Nvidia" before, but changed my mind. I don't understand why it'll suck so bad with the cable input. You probably are just retarded or something

Well, I could use a VCR to receive the signal, and then send the signal from the VCR to the TV. That way the TV isnt handling the coax. Ghosts have to do with response timing and the signal. The TV im getting has 8ms response time

WELLLLLLLL then. I'll use my coax, seeing as Im on analog cable still. Then when we switch to Digital Cable, I might get an HDTV TV tuner for my desktop and go all through that.
