Spent 3 hours yesterday getting 4.5gb of files together for backup in preperation for a reformat (its been six months since, system was getting a bit bogged down).

Anyway....I triple checked to make sure I had everything I wanted to keep. Literally ran down the list 3 fuckin times, and sat there thinking about it for another 20 minutes just to be extra sure.

Well..I fuckin forgot some important shit, that is now...gone.

FUCK!!!!!
SON OF A BITCH!!!
and GODDAMNIT for good fuckin measure.

Every fuckin time, without fail.

End of rant.

That's why you should always keep sensitive data on another partition than your system-partition. That way you don't have to think about backing up files like that Wink

YARRR. I do heavy formats when I format my drive. Some people like to do it every 6 months. I HATE doing it for this exact reason.

Usually, the really important stuff doesn't take up that much space.

No way anyone has 300Gigs of vital data (unless you're the movie director of the next #1 @ imdb stored in digital format).

Anyway, at least you learned a lesson, eh? Wink

Yes, yes I'm back.

You can get what you lost with GetDataBack for NTFS / FAT32 (If you did a /q format c: that is.. if you did a normal format c: , then it probably wont find the files)

I hate you.

I lost 100~ movies on my HDD along with mp3s, some games and some stuff I wrote.
I got over it Smile

I think...

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

Should use Ghost - excellent for backing up partitions to another system cross your LAN

Got a schedule every day to backup my important data to a USB Pendrive
Repeat this twice a week to another USB Pendrive
Then every 3-4 months use Ghost to backup the whole partition cross my LAN to a 2nd PC
Lastly got an external USB Enclosure that I manually copy on anything good like porn (ahem) Smile
Never lost any data in years !!

You wanted a Miracle, I give you the F. B. Eye !!

I lost about 400-500 hours of work i spent Mapping in Radient. I was so mad, the files were probably a total of 50 megs but the time i spent on my arcitecture, shaders, and textures was invaluable. Its sucked so bad.
