Well, that's what you guys get for buying a player with MPEG-4 decoding instead of modding an Xbox and putting XBMC on there.
There's not much I can say about that.
or... building a HTPC which is much cooler.
both options are expensive since not everyone has there computer 10 feet away from there pc. While getting a dvd/divx player is now only 70 bucks which is much cheaper then making a 500 dollar + htpc or probly spending 50 bucks on 100 feet of cable and then trying to hide and staple the wire so it wont be an eye sore when you wire from your bed room to your living room tv. Also i hate pressing play on my computer then running out to the front room just to watch a movie
No no no. You can build a htpc from old or cheap parts. It doesnt need to be placed long away from the tv so you'll need lots of cables. You just position it under or on the side of the tv. You also dont need to press any buttons as you have a special htpc remote control or a wireless desktop set. The thing is that a htpc serves as many things; games machine, movie machine, tv decoder, satellite decoder, jukebox etc.
