Opera was a great browser, trouble is though they have left it too late and have been eclisped by firefox.

If it had been free )with no ads) a few years ago, it would have rocketed.

why on earth is firefox more popular than opera? extensions? because that's the only possible thing i can think of. firefox is probably my least favorite browser. miles and miles behind IE because it's slower than hell.

Yuh, i'm using the beta of IE7 and people tell me "it's only IE with tabbed browsing" but I know that, it's the best of both worlds now. Very Happy

Im on the firefox fan list(until something better comes along)

TabbedBrowsing ? how can u live without it?

Also, click on a linky(to a wmv file in ex) and IE starts crappy mediaplayer and 10 sek late pops up some random connection error. Now open the same link in firefox, and it instanly pops up and ask u if u wanna save as, run or open with, now thats teh shit...

Besides, I tend to like software, that i can uninstall... ever tried uninstalling IE? heh

Ontopic :

Sounds nice its free, iv never tried it... maybe ill have a look, thanks for the info Razz

I think FireFox sucks too...slow and when I intalled it, it fucked up all my plugin's...not worth the hassle when I can use other programs that dont fuck up my internet plugins and shit

Glad to see that Opera is doing the right thing. Im having trouble with choosing between Opera and Firefox, i like them both. And the extensions for Firefox is pure gold. But i like the overall feel of Opera a lot better, i like the integrated email and rss reader.
Also i really like that Opera opens the tab you had open last time you surfed. That way i can have certain pages open everytime i start browsing Smile

As for Firefox being slow, i dont find that at all. I just did a check, and Firefox and IE used the same to start and open a page.

In the same boat, will keep both however. The FF extensions will be the toughest thing to leave behind. As for the e-mail/rss integration, I have not used in a long time and from what I read they have not done much with M2 since I last looked. Might check it out this weekend.

I will say this, Opera is fast as mother f*cker and I have not even tweaked the net settings yet!!

I'm using Opera for years, when FFox came out i gave it a chance (because of the IE competition...)
Finally i decide to stick with Opera.
Anyway... I just hope more users will decide to get rid of that MS-IE-Bullshit.
Get Free!
Peace!
...and out Very Happy

Well it is my browser now but I still use FF a lot. There are things that Opera lacks that FF has that I need, like rich-text copy to clipboard to name one.

I started a thread in Site Feedback but no one has replied. Might as well ask here. Anyone experiencing problems with NForce site & Opera. Example, I get Topic reply via e-mail but when I click the link in Outlook Opera starts to load but just sits there. I have to click the link from Outlook again to get the page loaded. There are other things but that was the main one that I have seen. It is only with NForce.

Anyone else using Opera 8.5 and have problems on NForce?

Thanks....
