It got good action and some crazy gangs - like the baseball dudes.
I've seen it 3 or 4 times and I can't get enough of it.
It's hard to say why it's so good but I don't see how anybody could not like it, movie is good times.
This sounds very similar to the The Wanderers.Which I happen to think is a classic in it's own rite.If you haven't seen it or enjoyed the warriors I suggest watching this also.

Got some movies to rent this weekend i think - i havent rented a movie in like 5 years
been watching alot of movies lately. I was never a big movie fan, I liked tv shows like documentarys and bios and educational shows more than a movie.
But i dunno, now I just love the feeling of watching something i havent seen before and enjoying the new experience. 90% of the shit on tv is pure re-runs or something like that.

Ok there's the whole hysteria of it glorifying gangs and stuff but there's only 1 good scene and that's in the bathroom where the black dude kicks ass.
Other than that, its pretty lame.

the cyrus part = lame and pretty bad.... if ya notice the math doesn't add up nor does the fact that the warriros aren't rallying like every1 else.
the 'love story' = pathetic and unneeded!
the bit where that guy gets caught by the police = lame too
I could go on for a while but to say it's the best film ever or even a classic is way beyond the truth. I know it's all about opinions but please... show me the way!

obviously there is a lot of cinimatic errors, but otherwise the movie is a solid 10.

Edit: I have just noticed they screwed the scene's continuity with the clinking sounds maker. First we hear the clinking sound while his right hand of the wheel, in the next shot he is clinking with the same right hand. Also from the distance the driver is completely motionless, while in close shots he is quite animated.
