Actually its quite deliberate .. Americans are forced to only be able to conceive of a world that only consists of America .. manufacturing consent is much easier . when your manipulating an unarmed opponent ..
I schooled in the states & it fucking made me stupid .. I had to self educate myself for years just to get up to a reasonable standard in Europe ..

I bet you could pull this stunt in any country just by selectively picking out a known uneducated area. And then people like you see it and think it applies everywhere. I think you need to self-teach yourself a few more lessons.
Speaking of which, maybe you should set higher standards for your self taught education so you .. would .. stop .. talking .. like .. this .. because .. even .. Americans .. know .. how .. to .. write .. proper .. sentences ..

Chinup is pretty much right, i havnt been in usa but know several who has and several who has studied there and they all say the same things about americans and their educational system. Pretty much that their ignorant, they know nothing of the world outside us, lots of stupid people and poor educational system.
But Stooz is kinda right on that you can do a video like that in any country, but for example in northern europe pretty much everyone know that its australia down there, we have much geografic education so we can easily most countrys or pinpoint them to an area.

Not sure what that has to do with anything, but ok? Every country in the world does not enforce learning multiple languages. Every school I've ever been to gives you the option to learn a secondary language.

Now you were wrong about your assertion about American education .. but you chose to attack me instead of being intelligent enough to admit when your wrong .. a hallmark of intelligent people ..
I doubt very seriously that a person that shows your narrow minded view of things, could possibly be well traveled .. even in your own nation .. traveling has a very special effect on a person .. it teaches one humility & a sense of unity among people .. things you lack so far as I have seen so far .. i was wrong about the tv angle & I’m sorry .. more folks should gather information from places less politically manipulated than tv broadcasts .. If your truly out in the sticks I’m curious where you are . I may have been through there ..
Really its quite sad .. I am heavy about this subject because it has affected me personally .. I happen to care about America .. & because I care about it .. I am irate about it being so badly managed ..

Thank you for informing us about how your extensive educational history ("twelve different schools in the states in five different states") has taught you that the entire educational system is "backward xenophobic brainwashing."
Having said that, I need to ask a few questions about your qualifications:
1) You mention 12 different schools in five different states, then mention "Europe ? Scandinavia ? Canada ? Eastern Europe ? Mexico ? Well I have ... because you don’t know dick about the education elsewhere"
For clarification, you're saying that you've been to 12 different schools in the US, then in school in Europe (each country in Europe?), Eastern Europe (um, that's still part of Europe, but anyway), Canada, Scandinavia (a bit general there), and Mexico? If not, how do you "know dick about ... education elsewhere"?
2) Even with your extensive education in the US, you think limited experience in 12 schools gives you the insight to judge the entire system? Sorry pal, but that's still just a drop in the bucket.

listen I do not have to check out every single school in America to get a general idea of how Americans educate their youth .. you are simply splitting hairs because you don’t have a valid case .. something concrete like actual experience ..
I would real of names of places I have encountered local education but what’s the point when all you will do is say I didn’t check them all ..

I really don't have the patience to read ALL these longass posts. What I got from it, was that some people are saying this is selective, to which I agree, and that fine American schools exist all over the States as well, to which I agree again. However, the average 'educated' American is levels below anyone educated in Europe or even here in Canada. I've taken tests in the states that were supposed to be at my grade level, and it was painful how easy it was.
Anyway, my view on this whole ignorance bit is exactly what Syco said. It's a ripoff of Jaywalking, and that they certainly filtered out intelligent responses to make it funny. However, despite what some people have said, this doesn't go on as much in other countries. To find the amount of retards like this in other countries, even in Canada, where we aren't all that much better, is certainly longer. Many people in the United States live in a self involved bubble.

Chinup where in the states did you go to school in because the south does not have the same school quality as the north
st00z is right you could duplicate this anywhere
The United States is about the same size if not bigger than the continent of europe we have different cultures and countries in our country
USA's ignorence is not in all 50 states
do not generalize the entire US it is too big to do that that is like if we said all of europe hates us that is not true a good amount of europe hates us but not all

MD, DC, VA, PA, TN - schooled myself CA, CO, NM, VM, MS, OH, TX, MI, GO, WS, N&SC, WVA, -- seen education @ work .. don’t know about all the abbreviations or even if I got them all .. used to know them all I haven’t used them for years ..
UK - schooled Mexico, Canada east & west, DK, SW, FR, Holland, Germany, Poland, AU, IT, Espania, Chech
(I was a street performer for years, spoke to people & lived with people from all over, all the time) |
Agreed all education in America is not suck ass . I had some good teachers that hated the standard of education they were having to live around .. Point to my mind is .. so long as Americans & America pretends to be better than it is in actual fact .. clips like this will continue to poke fun @ the big headed Americans ..
America has afforded itself a great deal of responsibility on the global stage ..
so learning the truth about how few Americans their are, who are even prepared to understand the effects their nation is having on distant parts of the world .. is disturbing to say the least ..

Knowing the location of other countries has no bearing on how people understand the world, or show their intelligence. Ask the average woman on how a car works?
Let's face it, there are a few in this forum, that get their little rocks off by insulting America.

Well, speaking to some american folks, i have come to the conclusion there are
1)Completly daft people who think europe is an island?
2)People who think the world is america, the rest of it is middle east and the red machine.
3)People who are generally aware of the world and the stuff thats happening.
You cant really judge a countries educational system by certain individuals, but generally speaking American education is somewhat dummbed down.
Russian 4th-5th graders are on par in math with high schoolersm and geometry, chemestry, geography, physics, astronomy, biology are completly on a diferent level.
Also the schools in Russia have 11 year educational system, not 13 like in America (i think 13....correct me if i am wrong)

Sore grapes to the max. | If its my rocks that get a kick out of slagging the states .. then I am unaware of it ..
Knowing the location does not matter .. humm . are you sure . Other basic needs like enough scientific understanding to understand things like stem cell research & nukes ..
To pretend that the American public are totally aware of what is being done in their name off shore .. is ridiculous .. I personally feel that if more Americans where aware of what was going on & to whom it was happening .. properly understanding culturally, historically, economically ect .. America would not have such a free hand of shore .
I feel that Americans have their hearts in the right place in regards to humanity .. They are simply being duped into believing bull .. because they don’t have the education to know any better . dirty pool on the part of policy makers .. Imo

No dude, geography, basic basic geography, such as pointing out australia on map has everything to do with world knowledge and world geography - my 10 year old niece knows the location difference between Australia and France. Granted, not every american is an idiot but the many times ive been to the us, u guys do have ur share of retards...I had a girl in New York city ask if we use dogsleds and live in igloo's in the winter in Toronto....and this bitch was serious....NYC is 10 hours, maybe 8 or 9 from Toronto....has this girl been living under a rock? or is she a product of a failed education system?
Being able to recognize the continents and such basic things are taught in like grade 2 and 3 and 4 and shit - nevermind the fact their american, thats scary that they cant point out australia.
But, I wouldnt really call it a downfall. I mean, its a downfall in the obvious sense, but it also shows trust. I mean, they trusted that the news anchor wasnt going to deceive them hence they picked the wrong thing. Americans are trustworthy, kind ppl imo - just a vast majority are ignorant idiots and the US Government...well, bush is the third antichrist imo, so take it as u will
