I think I will complete this game, and I rarely find a game that entertain me enough to make me want to complete it. It's a very basic third person shooter, but it's the bond feeling that hooked me, which they nailed in my opinion. So if you like bond I think you will enjoy this. |
heh, if it was "real" bond, or connery, he would do like a quick karate hand to the neck with style and not rambo shoot outs, which this game seems to offer mostly.
nevermind, ill try it soon myself, im out of dvds, getting some soon. plus im busy going to a show tomorrow and also busy playing cod2. ahhh the hard life of a gamer.

game looks nice just gotta find time to give a good go now
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

That would be cool hayvis.
I'd like to see Diamonds are Forever made into a game. Driving the red mustamg threw the streets of Las Vegas, trying to avoid the cops. Or another driving part with the moon buggy threw the desert while being chased by those guys on there little ATV's...
The You Only Live Twice "Little Neli" helicopter case would be pretty cool.
The underwater special effects in the movie Thunderball won a academy award for this.
I have seen all the James Bond films at least 10 times or more. I own them all on DVD.
On topic:
It's a fun game. I finished a couple levels last night and enjoyed it. Playes pretty much the same way as Everything or Nothing. I also enjoyed that game as well.

well, if i could request one remake of a bond movie into a game, it would be live and let die. i always liked r. moore more than s. connery. plus the fact that its the best movie. vodoo, crocodile jumoing, boat races etc.

Gave this game a spin yesterday and wasnt terribly impressed by it. Its essentially a mod of EoN. Also having a 70+ year old Sean Connery do voiceover for a 20+ year old Connery was a bad idea. They could just have engineered the voice from the actual movie. While playing EoN there was a sense of excitement in trying to know what happens next and all the cool moves, vehicles and gadgets with each mission made it a complete experience. here everything looks so dated and even then I didnt feel any kind of nostalgia revisiting a classic.

I kind of agree with hiatus_gsw I played this to completion this afternoon, must have took between 3-4, maybe 5 hours at the most plus I tryed a few of the bonus missions. Overall I wasn't left with the same buzz that I got from completing everything or nothing and my main reason for playing to completion was in the hope of there being that one special level which for me never came.
The driving missions weren't as exciting as everything or nothing or as well done, plus those levels where your sitting on a mounted gun although serving as a good break from the on foot action are cheap fillers at best. I also found some of the end of level bosses are easier to defeat than the enemies that you face through the course of a level. Those guys with the minigun were a major pain in the ass to me where as some of the bosses barely touched me.
I disagree about the voice acting sure his voice isn't as crisp but some of the scenes sounded badly edited more than anything just my opinion though.
Overall not a bad game by any means just slightly disapponting as was the game length - I haven't tryed multiplayer yet but didn't like it in everything or nothing so I expect very little of it.

I have only played the first 4 or 5 levels but it worked fine, I used quix to put it on my xbox.
Try switching your region. Everthing or Nothing was a bitch on the wrong region, and gave DDE
