I mounted Dragonshard in alcohol 120 and when I go to install it shows all my hard drives as having .03 gig available and wont let me install. I have 4 gigs free on 2 different drives. Is there anyway around this?
Could be it accounts for the swap file needed and concludes u dont have the space...and it doesnt matter if u have 4 gigs between 2 drives...if u have 2 gigs on say Drive C or whatever drive ur trying to install the game to, thats how much u have, it wont install a lil bit on one hd and the rest on the other.
Free up some space, and like i always suggest, get Norton SysWorks 05, run Windoctor and clear ur temp files and caches with the Norton Cleanup tool etc
i have over 4 gigs free EACH on 2 seperate drives. I did what u said with windoctor and norton cleanup and it didnt help. You are right because the game is reporting the free space i have on C which is less than 200megs no matter what drive i select to install. I know i should have alot more free space on C but is there anyway to work around this and force it to install on another drive?
no way i NEVER install games onto my windows drive in over 10 years. I keep only windows on my C drive in a seperate partition so if it crashes i can just restore a ghost backup and wont lose my save games or have to reinstall the game.
during installation you have the option to choose a drive & create a directory there to install the game. I use a large 160Gb D NTFS partition to install all games to.
Kill the autorun program and open up the drive, then run the .msi installer directly. This will bypass the shitty graphical interface Atari came up with and let you install on whatever drive you like regardless of how much space is left on your C drive.
