A large step in the right direction, especially with all the major advertising I've seen here in Canada so far.

The Toyota Prius is bad ass.
http://www.toyoland.com/prius/toyota-prius-review.html
My buddy drives one and its great. The LCD screen lets you monitor the gasmileage and control the temp and music. look at the pics. it has 4 doors a good amount of trunk space and still gets some great gas mileage all for $20,000. I would buy this car in a heartbeat.

I think you mixed up the phrase bad ass with enviromentally friendly. That car isnt the least bad ass. Sure it's nice and all but to me that's a car mothers drive. A bad ass car is an american muzzle car or an italian designercar.

If I were racing cars or something sure an old ass mustang or camaro would be killer but for what I would use a car for (driving around with friends and driving to school) the Prius is indeed bad ass.

And people like you are the reason our greenhouse gasses are still too high, and why we have holes in our o-zone.

I think hybrids are the only viable solution for the pollution generated by cars, atleast for the next 10 or 20 years...

Nice too see some full sized hybrids. Those electric 2 seaters like syco was talking about look like death traps. Wouldnt want to see one of them get into an acident with a lincon.

just to clarify, those SMART cars you're talking about are gas powered (3-cylinder in-line engine at rear with turbocharger and charge-air cooler), not hybrid or electric Wink

They're also suprisingly safe. I remember the "theme" of their display at the auto show was that they're safer than you think.

cmon ... they're cute Rolling Eyes

I really hope that the entire car production industry someday will realize that we are running out of oil no matter what, that better cars means no oil usage and that the enviroment needs to be respected.

American Muscle cars are mostly ugly and shitty, same applies to italian designer cars. Like they can be used here in sweden without rusting or get bumped by the roads after 2km... Add the money it costs here to get some gas. Volvo ftw... Very Happy

They purport to have good safety. As to the SUVs ... people would be much safer on the roads without them ...

That looks like a wicked go cart or some kinda rideable paint balling vehicle or something like that...but as a car? Do these futuristic car designers disregard the fact that alot of ppl have sex in cars and u need SPACE, atleast enough to throw a leg or 2 up ya know?

Syco, start combining posts man.. I know you like to keep your post count up, but its bad forum ethics. Anyway, thats a personal mobility vehicle.

It's not meant to be a family vehicle. Think of it as a way to get to work every day. It's like, why get a two seater ferrari thats cramped and you can't have sex in it? Because people think they look cool. This is more for the functionality. It's small, it can go up and down sidewalks, or along the road. It's like a segway on steroids. Of course it's just a concept, but it is a pretty neat idea. Also, I think it has more space than you think. You can stand up in it comfortably, and it slides down for highway driving. I think its going to be badass.

Sure, since u asked and no smartass, it has nothing to do with my post count...I could careless about how many times ive posted Neutral
The reason that shit happens, is cuz I will read something, respond and go back read the posts I didnt get to and then if there is something to respond i will respond again.
But I see what ur saying, lots of clutter
