|
 |
Is there any way to copy my "backup" cd when the release has a special burning process? For example:
Quote: | Install Notes (Please follow these instructions IN ORDER)
1. Unpack the release with WinRAR or equivalent
2. Burn the bin/cue for CD2 with Nero Burning ROM, CDRWin or
equivalent.
Use Alcohol 120% v1.9.2.1705 with the Safedisc 2/3 profile to
burn CD1 using 4x write speed. |
I wanted to re-copy my sims 2 university cd1, which uses safedisc protection. I have tried several programs like alcohol, nero, blindwrite with no success, giving me read errors, etc! Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance.

Use safedisc 2/3 profile when creating the image with Alcohol 120. Read errors are normal, they are part of this protection. The profile will tell alcohol to ignore these errors and continue reading the disc.

I already tried it, but it takes ages reading the disc and making the image. Is it normal?

Hmm...i think Alcohol can do safedisc backups, works for me..?
Try the Cdfreaks.com (i think thats it) for stuff on safedisc and securom, good info. Also, try the Alcohol help forums on the website, knowledgable ppl there, and i think company has a few tech type of guys who help out in their problem solving forums - same sort of forum like this one, so its not like u gotta enter ur serial number and a bunch of info to get on the alcohol forum...just username, email and password i think (maybe im wrong?) - anyway, check it out man

Thx SycoShaman. I will consider your suggestion.
DaDiablo I do not think it´s a hardware problem. I have a LG combo and a pioneer 109D DVD burner. Used both...and both take as much! Thx anyway.
