Hmm, Stormblast was Dimmu´s first album. So is this a reissue, or something else?

It's a re-record / Reissue and it's awsome but it seems like it's not the whole songs included they fade away after 3mins or so... The final release will have a new song aswell Smile Btw is there any band that change drummer more than Dimmu?

ToCS: Howcome? Old Mans Child is really great it just takes awhile to get into them.

Ok, i wanna ask a question

Whats the difference between Black Metal (cradle of filth style) and Death Metal (cannibal corpse style)?

They both sing about death, rape, satan, murder, blood, guts etc....I dont get why its in a different class..

this is how i think of it:
black: satan, witches, other figures or deitys like that
death: murder and all the ways to do it
thrash: hmm... different playing style you can tell the difference by getting an early "Death" album and a early "Cannibal Corpse" album - the difference is clear.
grind: utter crap imo... just get some "Anal Blast" 33sec songs and every band has a name that has something to do with sodomy or some other sick shit.

wikipedia stuff...

Thrash metal is a subgenre of heavy metal music. The origins of thrash metal are generally traced to the late 1970s and early 1980s, when a number of heavy metal bands began incorporating speed metal's extreme speed into traditional metal melody and riffs

Thrashcore, or thrash, is a combination of thrash metal and hardcore punk music.

This definition is at odds with an earlier definition of thrash metal as form of heavy metal music that incorporated elements of hardcore punk, notably the latter's emphasis on extreme speed.

Thrashcore saw its beginnings after the decline of punk rock in the early 1980s. Hardcore punk began to take off in centres like Washington, D.C. and California. Early bands categorized as thrash, such as Minor Threat played faster hardcore punk and they distinguished themselves from other hardcore punk bands such as Black Flag.

The term was used a lot as a synonym for fast hardcore punk - the bands that actually draw a wider thrash metal influence to their music was and is often categorized Crossover Thrash. There's a loose difference between and most influental Crossover Thrash bands started out as influental Thrashcore bands.

Thrashcore as a genre ties in heavily to hardcore, grindcore, powerviolence, crust, and other subgenres of punk rock.

Today Thrashcore is mostly a defenition for ultra-fast hardcore punk.

I find most black metal music (including Dumme Birger) quite hilarious, and that Entombed illustrates it best in their video for the song "Night of the vampire".

Yes, yes I'm back.

Ok, ur on crack...they are fuckin talented and the shit Dani filth sings about is mind blowing, the way he puts things together and delivers them
They sound even better live (been to nuff of their shows) unlike most popular metal bands
Slipknot for instance, SUCKS live...ive seen em live twice, the singer cant yell like he does on the cd's, Dani Filth sounds the exact same if not better than how he sounds on CD

They are the premeire Black metal band...according to Kerang! and the awards they've one..next ur gunna say bob marley wasnt all about politics?

Sold their soul to mtv? ok...I have only seen 2 CoF video's ever played on mtv and it was last year, halloween nite...they played Her Ghost In The Fog and...fuck, cant remember the other one...oh, From the Cradle to Enslave (edited version). I havent seen a CoF video played since so I dont know wtf ur talking about...and its not like they attend the mtv awards, do nuff guest spots etc The only interview Ive seen them give in NA was on MuchMusic a few years back, before a concert.

Oh and ive never heard of CoF being refered to as "vampyric metal". Its not like every song is about vampires. They have a few, but most are about a biblical story...if u actually read and understand the lyrics..Everyone I know and all the flyers ive seen for the concerts and shit clearly recognize them as black metal....

I heard that spose it's just a rumor a friend who loves em said so, i think he snapped it out in an interview or something... maybe he's the one on crack Razz I've seen them here on MTV from time to time but... yeah they aren't that bad... guess i overdid it :/

About all theese "cool" belackmetal guys, infact i don't like their style at all, get a haircut and remove the corpse paint would make them 100x more evil looking than now in my opinion. Most of them looks like clowns and that is kinda annoying :/ And what's up with the weapons and stuff they hold on pictures? Does that make them look even more evil? No.

I hope i won't get shot by sayng that and i still enjoy black metal cause there is bands out there that play like gods Smile

within the balck metal scene Cof is not considered as a black metal band, but this is mostly said by the "true" black metal bands (Nagaroth, judas Iscariot etc) and for the record i have seen Cof on commercial music television.
At the moment most black metal bands are made out of so called "posers" (also said by the true black metal bands Wink), there are people that make the music soley with the computer and release it on the internet. This can be done thanks to the fact that most black metal doesn't consist out of great techniques, so most people will not even notice any difference with bands that use real instruments. I mean bands like Dark throne don't give the suggestion to be very skilled musicians, although it's hard to hear thanks to the bad recording.
But in my opinion it doesn't matter in which genre a band fits, the only things that matters in such cases is if you like the music or not, and who cares if it's black/death or trash?

don't get me wrong i also like dark throne, but because of the bad recording it is hard to tell if they are good musicians, but the bad recording is also an part of their act i think Wink, they have some kind of anger in their music that i like

true, true. tokmangel!

edit: its also easy to spot their punk/hc influences. both in sound and music. i read an interview with fenriz where he said that he mainly listens to diy crust/punk/hc (whatever) and mentioned bands like "world burns to death".

heh he also send a friend to pick up a t-shirt of my firends band accursed when they played norway. made business over the phone. Smile

i'll just do like the metal fans do when a discussion about hip hop starts...metal sucks (not actually my opinion). and how can you listen to people always singing about bitches...i mean death...and how they are the greatest...i mean how they would like to kill everything ...and to music that sounds all alike....and people wearing wide pants and bling...i mean tights and makeup. hehehe

jesus christ was a gangsta rapper. they killed him. he came back and made a platinum album.
