Anyone know how i can rip the shows i record of my dvr/pvr and put them on my computer...
I was thinking just connection my dvr to my video card via svideo...but after that Im lost...do I need some software to interface the dvr or something?
How would i go about doin it?
Its a DVR/Cable box btw

ooooo, I dont think I should fuck around then...cuz its rented from the cable provider ya know? the thing costts like 900-1000 bucks
I thought that if I hooked up the actual box to my vid card via Svideo, I could vidcap it somehow with some program...but the encryption thing...i think my cable provider does have encryption on their boxes...when i reboot the dvr/cable box, i get a buncha shit on my tv, then it says file system or some kinda system loaded...then it proceeds to load all the functions that i need...like the tv guide thing, all the channels, my personal settings etc etc
