Any programs out there that can strip the sound of a movie and make it an mp3?

Best way is take dvd decrypter open it up in ifo mode. Find the main movie and then go to stream processing.Enable stream processing then uncheck video and only keep the audio stream you want. Then go to tools -> settings-> ifo mode. Set File splitting to "by Chapters". Hit ok now make sure you have the video in stream processing selected but don't check the box. Now copy. Then download http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Audio/headac3he-0.23a.rar (freeware) and convert all 5.1 ac3 audio files that you just created into 2.0 wav files. It's the best procedure and fastest (noted you can only do one audio track at a time there is no batch processes. Make sure to have 44.1khz resample selected. Then convert all your files to wave then convert waves to mp3's. This is so if you have a concert dvd and want to make seperate tracks so you can skip to your fav song. Also http://www.snapfiles.com/get/godfather.html is the best app to rename and add id3 tags to your new mp3's
This is the original post where i learned atleast the dvd decrypter bit. They show you only how to put the ac3 files on cd which then you would need to rerip them from that cd in order to make them mp3's that is if the concert/movie isn't over 1 cd long then you got to burn 2 cd's. I like my way better it's a lot cleaner. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=139536

imo besweet is the best for doing ac3 to mp3 - no ac3 to wav to mp3. just all in one if you know what your doing that is.

true and i believe it uses acid which is what heada3che uses for encoding it. Just i never got it to work and found this to be a much easier program if you don't understand besweet.

the way i mentioned above though automaticly splits all the music into it's own tracks so you don't have to do it yourself which could take awhile. For an extra 10 seconds of setup it's worth it
