Well i've never really seen any Anime to be honest, just never came around to it. Then one night while sitting and looking for music videos as usual, i came across "Nightwish - Tenth Man Down (Gundam)", its basically a bunch of perfectly edited gundam footage to the nightwish song.
And that was/is fucking awesome, the same kinda non-stop desperate never ending hyper-action as in Dawn of War, i'm looking for that sooo hard.
Besides from that i've only seen the Ghost In The Shell movies, damn great, amazing atmosphere, blade runner'ish just like i like it.

First of all i want some good tips on some action packed Gundam episodes that are good for a n00b to be christened with.
And then i want some good tips on insane mega super nonstop-for-8-hours-action games, such as Dawn of War in which, no need to explain, if you play it you know what kinda long-lasting action i'm looking for Laughing

I mean, the kinda Dawn Of War inspired action i want, is when you have a maximum ammount of Hellfire Dreadnoughts, and just let them march in a line torwards the enemy, just mowing down everything while saying "better to die for the emperor, than live for yourself" so FUCKING COOL OMFG!!!!!! I WANT MORE PURE PRIMAL METAL ACTION!!
You know all this realism in games today, its GOOD in a way, its pretty damn fun, but sometimes you need to let your brain take a vacation and you just need to fall in a trance with the game, and let your instincts take over..
As in the Unreal Tournament games, pure instincts + heavy action = insane experience Very Happy
The UT games are quite good in this, but i'm a machine lover (not literally), so i want something a bit more metal.
Thanks!!

Anime can be so hard to get into, i've managed to convert alot of my friends but it's damn hard work Smile

Gundam is really nice. If you want some other tips from me then i'd say:

Hellsing - Short series, very good starter-anime, excellent if you like vampires
GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka - Medium-length series (about 40 eps), very highly liked, nice if you like a bit more realistic stuff
One Piece - Personal favourite, still being produced (150+ eps), great if you like pirates and superhero-powers
Naruto - The mainstream anime no1 but still very good , nice if you like a heap of powers and mumbo jumbo

Gaming - Intel Quad Q9450 @ 3.2GHZ | Radeon HD 4870 X2 2GB | SB X-Fi | PC6400 8GB | 300GB Velociraptor
HTPC - Antec Fusion Remote | AMD Athlon 7850 X2 | PC6400 2GB | 74GB Raptor
Server - Athlon 64 X2 4200+ | Radeon HD 3450 | SB X-Fi | PC5300 2GB | 4TB+ total space

I liked the Appleseed movie that came out a while back it had really nice visuals and intense action sequences - the story was a little hard to follow at times but I find that typical of Anime/Manga. Steamboy is another recent film.

Akira and Ghost on the Shell are still my favourites most people have seen them though (as you said). Likewise most people have seen the Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone complex series.

As for games in my opinion the PS2 is where its at for this style of game and as I don't bother much with my PS2 anymore I can barely recollect any of the titles. I guess theres Zone of the Enders which also has an Anime show, I beilieve theres a Gundam game as well.

Im not sure if im following exactly what sort of games your looking for but for Xbox and PC theres the Mechwarrior series which I guess is in keeping with the giant robot theme, still a great game especially if you have one of those huge joysticks with the Force Feedback. Theres also obviously Tribes 3 and Shogo M.A.D. Wink

If you want gundam go for Gundam Seed and then the second season called Gundam Seed Destiny theese series are flalwess and both has 50 eps each, Gundam Seed Destiny has two more episodes before it's finnished and they are usually released on sundays as fansubs. I never tought i would like the gundam series... but Gundam Seed changed that quite fast Smile It's stand alone so you don't have to watch all the others before Smile
