i had a string of unreliable AMD computers (crashing left, right and centre), so my recent computer is Intel powered and havent (touch wood) had any problems with yet it. i might try AMD again what with the advances and all, but experience tells me otherwise
I've had AMD processors in the past and have always had some
problem with them. Though I am told they are stable now I just
didn't want to take another chance.
Cost wise and speed wise they are pretty close, atleast not far
enough apart to say one is way better or worse then the other)
No descent video card yet as I want a high end nvidia card but
alas Nvidia seems unwilling to release their ground breaking bridge
chip for the high end chips. I think they are waiting for the release
of their new PCI-E chipset so you can bridge their cards.
